Dealing with address Properties has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life and it has been like that from the very beginning. first of all when we where introduced to the property we where made several promises before we moved in for example, we wanted the lounge and bedroom to be repainted the kitchen to be clean, the broken glass cemented onto the walls to be removed and the all the sealant in the bathroom to be redone as it was black and failing, also we requested that a book shelf be installed in a space that was perfect for the location. on the move in date nothing had been done, not even a new coat of paint and a clean kitchen. we refused to move in and demanded our money back for the time it took to finish the jobs, eventually after 2 weeks the rooms where painted and the sealant was redone and the glass removed, but thats all they where prepared to do. after a month in the property all the windows failed,all the new paint started to peal off so we where constantly having to hoover up white dust, the blinds broke and mould started to form under the windows and on the ceiling. we informed address properties but where completely ignored, any emails we sent where read but not responded too. This continued until we decided to withhold rent and the mould was wiped off and windows replaced. Unfortunatly the mould did not stop and was a daily battle to keep it away. This point gets me angry every time I think about it, I came home from work to find the front door was unlocked, I walked into the house to find that address properties where showing someone around the property WITHOUT PERMISSION!! I was amazed that there where strangers in my house and firmly told them to remove themselves, this was not the only case of this as I would have someone just unlock to door and try to let themselves in to show the house, and when they did inform us that they would be showing the property we where not allowed to decline. and even workmen would unlock the door to put isolation in the ceiling. many complaints where sent by email and phone to address properties that where also ignored. After 8 months we decided we where tired of being ignored and enough was enough and moved out. We tried to come to some arrangement to end our contract with address properties as we where no longer prepared to live there. All requests where completely ignored until we withheld the rent again. Address properties denied anything was wrong with the property and threatened us with legal action and late fees. We continued to pay the rent after the threats for a house we where not living in, while continuing to be ignored and mourned the loss of our mould ridden furniture. After admitting defeat and paying all we owed to finish our contract we are still waiting for our deposit back. I have now been calling every single day for 3 weeks to get my deposit back and told every time that only one particular person can arrange my deposit return, I am starting to question if this person exists because he never seems to be in. I will never recommend anyone to use address properties and I hope this review will prevent people form using them.
