I have dealt with many estate agencies (enough to know most of the unscrupulous practices and beat them in their own games) but unlike them Tomlinson Estate Management was very professional, cooperative and unlike many others with rip-off charges at the drop of a hat and yet ineffective at what they do, you are very reasonable and yet ensure that your tenants have a great service. I had stayed at Nottingham to study MBA which is an extremely intense course at UoN and could not afford to have any rental headaches. Tomlinson Estate Management was so good that I never realised that it was actually a rental property. Any repairs, issues were dealt with promptly (within 24 hours in most cases) by Tomlinson Estate Management and not passed around between owners or held up due to silly reasons. I was always kept aware of any events or work at the property well in advance. I could only name the staff I directly spoke (Laura and Joe, I probably spoke to you two the most; especially Laura. Both of you were fantastic and without Laura's refreshing and positive attitude, I would probably not have signed up anyways) to as excellent but I believe that along with them its their business practice thats to transparent and they seem to know what they are doing and not take any undue advantage of tenants. A true example of excellent business practice (this comes from an MBA student specialising in Finance and Global Business) Tomlinson Estate Management is the way forward for anyone who wants a hassle free experience. Excellent all the way!!!!!! May be you can open up Business Ethics and Etiquettes for Rental services and Estate Management and show how simple good business practices as opposed to unscrupulous practices can still generate profit.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Everyone charges a fee. Sometimes it could be inconvenient for a student. But it becomes worse if there random charges there on and no assistance is provided during the tenancy. Tomlinson Estate Management did have a sign up fee but they deserve that as they solved every issue during our tenancy instantly without ripping off absurd charges.
