Steve, at Burgess Hill Connells, picked up a phone call from me, just to to lecture me, when I'd called actually to speak with his colleague Jan Temple. When Steve picked up the phone, there was no "good morning" or much of any kind word, he just jumped straight in and told me off for having cancelled a viewing. Taken aback and busy at the time, I told him I was sorry if originally needed to cancel a viewing of the house I was trying to again strange to view, but advised that I needed to now arrange to see it. Again I kept being reminded I'd cancelled a viewing I'd previously made. Again I asked to view the house, I said I was sorry to be abrupt but when actually is the soonest I may view the property, only to be reminded "but you cancelled a viewing on this house" then asked "so you now want to see the property do you...?" I again made it clear I was sorry that for personal reasons is needed to cancel the viewing but could I please book the next available viewing? Steve asked me a second time "so do you now want to view this property? I said I believe I'd already confirmed this yes please, when's the next soonest viewing? Steve carried on LOUDLY reminding me (lecturing me), I'd called and cancelled one viewing at the house and a further SEVEN TIMES, said "so you now want to view it do you", each time I stated how many times he had asked me the same question! I said "I'm sorry but why are you shouting at me, to which he replied "I'm not shouting at you, none of my colleagues or customers in here think I'm shouting at you", so I said sorry but you're a Sales Negotiator and I'm trying to potentially buy a house through you" to which he replied I'm NOT Sales Negotiator" Less any sort of apology, I asked to speak to the Manager to which he replied " I AM the manager"! Oh I see, I said.... Connells Church Walk Burgess Hill will never get either my business or my friends /family's business if I'm asked for any sort of recommendation. Not being part of NAEA I'm having to complain in writing before, after Ive had their reply, reporting this man to the Property Ombudsman. Why he shouted at me I don't know, but he was unprofessional al, unkind & can't listen to /fathom facts and act accordingly, so I don't see why he's a branch manager myself but hey ho - Connells are not getting my business because of him.
