Happily I escaped by some chance renting with CityHomes Estates. Unprofessional on every step they did. I viewed a flat presented by CityHomes Estates. It had some serious issues with a wall in a bathroom. It had huge wet stains. I was told that a pipe blew up there but they have fixed it successfully and eventually would redecorate it. Also some minor furniture changes were agreed. The date for moving in was agreed ASAP as they fix the wall. I payed the holding deposit. Nothing was happening during a whole week. Then I got sms that they 'agreed moving out a bed'. Ok, but what about a contract and so on? So I called asking for a contract. They promised to give me a call in 15 minutes. Called me back in an hour saying 'We're sorry, but we're giving your deposit back'. This feels strange regarding previous sms, but the fact that they hadn't contacted me earlier when they actually made this decision is mad. Got my deposit back. Same evening I had an email from another agency saying 'are you still interested in these premises. this back on the market. sorry for confusion'. WAT? I viewed the flat again and it still had wet (under repaint) wall (after 3 weeks!) and nothing else was changed. Agreements were not passed between agencies as well. For sure, I felt lucky to escape these agencies and the flat without losing money. Should I mention that admin fee CityHomes Estates asked via initial phone call is significantly less that the one they asked on the view and refused to lower? Totally unprofessional.
