NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!. They took our money for full management, and then they mis-managed our property. We have been left with a monetary loss of over 10,000,00, and counting. This does not include the replacement of ruined and or broken furniture, all white goods except the washing machine, microwave, flooring throughout the property and painting and papering to be done throughout, due to their incompetence, their blatant lies, and constant avoidance when you ask to speak to Management, I have asked 4 times now. Still waiting a response!!! They carelessly placed an at risk tenant into our property without having the correct paper work signed, then evade and blatantly lie when you ask questions and demand answers. This company should not be allowed to conduct business the way they do, taking your hard earned money and not delivering the goods. The state of our property is a damn disgrace, their reports on the state of our property after their 'routine inspections', shows they either never ever attended and the reports are forged, or they were clearly inspecting with their eyes closed. The dirt, grease and grime is so old and ingrained everywhere it is ridiculous. The cigarette ash in the corners alone is so deep, and so much, it's difficult to explain. POTENTIAL LANDLORDS -TAKE YOUR HARD WORK eg YOUR PROPERTY, AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!

16 Feb 2016This case was one where the tenant fell on hard times lost their job and turned to drink and drugs. The tenant stopped paying rent and fell into arrears. The court papers were prepared and served at the first opportunity yet the landlord choose to give them a second chance. Unfortunately the position did not improve and proceedings at court took place. The premises were returned to the landlord after a bailiffs attendance and were a mess with damage to the premises. McDowalls acted to deal with the legals but these take time and the loss of rent increased. The landlord did lose money but prior to this the tenant had been in the property without issue for a period of some years. As agent we advise clients that these can happen and are beyond any agents control. We have offered and had a goodwill gesture accepted in this case. I trust this reflects the efforts made to resolve this case.
