The agents were helpful. The deal (both the sale as well as purchase) was handled quite well. The only aspect that I found disappointing was their legal wing (Countrywide Solicitors). The agents and the financial advisor gave me the impression initially that the solicitors were also located in the same Reading office. Later, I realised that the solicitors were based in Manchester, which made it harder for me to get updates. The Countrywide Solicitors team that handled by sale and purchase was very unimpressive - the main solicitor handling the case left on two holidays within a span of a month or so without any advance notification to me as a client. I had to call up to find out an alternate POC to get updates. I will certainly recommend the property sale/purchase team and the financial advisor, but not Countrywide Solicitors.
