He also ran off with two or three months of our rent money and the deposit was never paid into Safe Deposits - imagine my surprise when the owners of the property came to ask me if I had heard from him at all and that the office was closed! My husband and I were so angry as you never imagine that you will have something like that happen when you rent through an agency. I should have realised that something was amiss as the premises were very small and I don;t think he had many properties on his books.

24 Oct 2018I found him, his mother is French, she and his father are divorced (see case Mitchel vs Mitchel) and they lived in France in the past, no surprise than that he went to hide for the police in France. I'll contact the police to inform them of his whereabouts.

9 Dec 2018This man fled from France a week ago, it is thought that he now resides in the Scottish Borders, although there were whispers of Canada but I know he isn't there yet. He was contractually obliged to buy the property in which he was residing, but he upped and left, leaving an old man in the lurch and unable to survive over winter now without the help of family. The community is not happy. There have been rumours circulating about him for quite some time, people do not get a good feeling from him and it has been a hot topic amoungst villagers. There are rumours circulating that he abuses his young partner, she is thought to be close to two decades younger than him and trapped because they have a child together. It is all speculative, but appears to ring true with his personality when you look back at his murky past. In my own search for justice I have now calculated that between the monies he owes me, the money he owes the gentleman in the village and others he has ripped off across France, he owes well over €200,000.

I want to warn others about my extremely disappointing experience with Ellisons Property in Edinburgh. They took thousands of pounds from me, promising a professional and proactive approach to marketing my property, including open house weekends and access to their so-called “black book” of buyers. However, none of these promises were fulfilled. They never arranged a single open house, and despite their claims of having a network of buyers, my property did not receive a single viewing in over a year. Instead of delivering results, they repeatedly asked for more money while providing zero tangible progress. Their lack of transparency, false promises, and complete failure to generate interest in my property have left me frustrated and out of pocket. If you are considering using Ellisons Property, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. There are far better and more trustworthy estate agents out there. Save yourself the stress, time, and financial loss—do not use this agency!

Pay back our deposit and rent asap and give yourself in at the nearest police station
