Residents of a quiet Lune Valley village - primarily long standing owner-occupied properties averaging �250,000 on the road in question - horrified with letting procedures of Entwistle Green Lancaster. The property this company has managed for some 20 years - owner living in Japan - has been allowed to deteriorate (tree growing from sewer pipe / burst / spat refuse over adjoining properties ) to extent that it appears any tenants are better than this company not making an income on this 230 year old cottage in the heart of the conservation area. For previous 5 years there has been a sequence of low-income / benefits tenants culminating - this last 2x lets / 12 months - with drug & alcohol addicts from the Rehab facility some 2 miles further up Littledale. The house has been turned into a veritable drop-in centre for addicts on their way to/from this facility & for those no longer in residence who are bound to stay within the Lancaster area for a certain period in order to claim their state benefits. Elderly neighbours have been mortified, some scared by what they have experienced & seen, now frightened to leave their properties unattended for any time - one tenant drunk/high nigh from the day of occupancy- and all this taking place within 50 yards of local village Primary School. Entwistle Green have called residents who have complained bigoted / discriminatory / witch-hunting / lacking compassion. Some residents are medics! They have spent their lives working in the NHS / mental health!. Many residents have lived in this locality for 30 / 40 / 50 years - there is general agreement that very few inspections have ever been undertaken by this company. They have never upheld the NO PET stipulation of the owner - the addicts all have dogs even today - and, most consequentially, for neighbours, this company shows complete distain for the feelings, worries, cares of residents whose lives & properties have been completely upset & disturbed by the lax & cavalier procedures of this letting company.
