Do not rent with Watson Mitchell! We originally started renting with a property that was with Paul Johnson lettings however the property was switched to Watson Mitchell after Paul Johnson retired. Watson Mitchell tried to increase our rent however there were problems with the property that had not been rectified. When we refused to pay an increase in rent we were met with a rude reply from the agent. Despite what the website says they are clearly there for the landlord. After they asked for a second increase in rent within the space of a year we decided to move out. They tried to charge us £130 for cleaning charges despite the property being left in a better state than when we moved in. It was only after writing to the landlord that we got all of our deposit back without an apology for trying to rip us off. Stay well clear of these rip off merchants.

Very good service, always there if there is a problem and they are soon to address it. They are also easy to contact if needed and like the see the progress of house condition like decorating and gardening which have been done by the tenents. They work well with the tenents... Read Full Review

The firm is starting to get to big for their boots, they always blame the landlord who 9/10 has not been contacted by the agent. The will try and scam you out of your deposit as they take a percentage of money off any tradesmen coming in to rectify any problem that they state they are not happy... Read Full Review
