As a former tenant of Faulkner, my advice for all potential tenants is this: DON'T DO IT! Go to any other estate agents but them. My family and I have lived in Buckingham for over 25 years and my tenancy with Faulkner was the worst experience that any of us have had with estate agents. Their service is full of extortionate fees, including �50 to renew your tenancy, �105 check out fee and �77 admin fee if you raise a dispute with them. You even have to pay �50 for them to give a reference about you. At the beginning of the tenancy you have a whopping �300 admin fee too. Don't believe a single word of the marketing jargon on their site; they will do anything they can to make extra money out of you. Our tenancy wasn't renewed after our first 6 months of moving in because we didn't cut the grass immediately after our first inspection (yes, really). We found out by letter; no discussion or communication was ever entered in to, and the same day we received the letter, Faulkner had relisted the property at a significantly higher price. They also called us to confirm a viewing! We suddenly had to find a new home having only just settled in. Oh, and conveniently pay all those check out fees. It seemed as though they were just looking for excuses to get us out and make more money. And the fun didn't stop there. We then had the joys of the check out report; the most petty, trivial and biased report you will ever encounter. Ours included �100s of cleaning charges justified by tiny specks of dust (literally). Then it got worse: when we contested the charges they added more! This happened twice and we found ourselves facing almost double the amount of charges. It felt as though they were trying to intimidate/bully us. I urge you to look at the other reviews of Faulkner on the internet before considering them as I am not alone in my experience. I wish I had done this before letting through them. This company is messing with one of the most important parts of anyone's life at their home. Don't let them do it to you too.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Agent was eager to get the transaction done as quickly as possible and did not follow all the correct procedure, we should have been more suspicion of the faint smell of desperation

NEVER USE FAULKNER PROPERTY. While you are a tenent in one of their properties they have the worst customer service. I've never seen swindlers so shoddily disguised as estate agents in all the years I've been renting. The only thing missing from these guys is a pencil moustache and a cat to stroke while speaking to tenants. Get ready for the fight of your life if you want your deposit back. They will contest... I disapprove of Faulkner letting agency. I was dissatisfied at their customer service and they were not accommodating when asked questions. I wish I had read this site before I moved in! We had very similar bad experiences. Turning up unannounced, very rude and unhelpful and find 100's of reasons to slap you with over the top charges for ridiculous things. Once you are in there is nothing you can do to stop this.
