Dreadful and farcical experience. As buyers we had done everything and quickly as well as being proactive in chasing matters. They do not relay accurate information between buyer and vendor. Lack of customer service and thought towards the buyer and vendor. We were informed the seller was withdrawing from the property and to exchange today and to ignore any legal enquiries raised by our solicitor and the survey. Yet we still hadn't received the contract despite ours and our solicitors best efforts to obtain this! And we were told the vendor had done everything (perhaps everything except chase his own solicitor to action what was required to complete a sale). It's such a shame this has happened to the vendor as we had everything ready our end to go and were made to feel like everything was our responbility. Everyone has lost out financially, the Estate agent with their commission, the vendor completing a sale before Xmas, and we have encountered a £2,000 loss.

We always make effort to bring every sale to a satisfactory conclusion.We were ready to exchange contracts after months of negotiations when you contacted us to ask for a £10,000 reduction in the price. The owner didn't want to do this and as a result withdrew from the sale.We did re-market the house and it sold within 48 hours for £10,000 more than you were willing to pay for the house so I guess the vendor made the right decision The vendor is our client and if he decides to withdraw from a sale we have to follow his instructions. We hope you subsequently successfully found a nice property to move to.

The staff at Whitehouse have been consistently friendly and helpful. Tenant Fees ( see below) Before the tenancy starts Whitehouse Residential will charge . Holding Deposit : 1 weeks rent ( maximum ). Dilapidations Deposit : 5 weeks rent ( maximum) . Tenant Fees during tenancy ( see below) Any tenant wishing to break their contract early can only do so with the permission of their landlord . A fee of £300 incl VAT will be payable to Whitehouse Residential to cover the cost of re-marketing. £50.00 incl VAT charge if you want to change the tenancy . For lost keys an admin charge £15.00 incl VAT will be charged plus the cost of replacement keys. Interest may be charged on late rental payments where rent is not received after 14 days of it being due. The charge is limited to 3% above Bank of England base rate prevailing at the time . Tenants are responsible for council tax payments to the relevant billing authority . Tenants are responsible for payments for utilities , TV licence , broadband , cable etc.
