When we originally were having valuations upon our property, Whitneys sold themselves as being the experts on properties in clayton especially properties within the conservation area and listed properties. Our property is grade 2 listed and it was fitted with UPVC windows before it was listed in, as the previous owner had passed away we did not get this vital proof. To cut a long story short our sale collapsed because we could not get proof, Whitneys later advised, yes we have had similar properties having this issue. This should have been pointed out to us by the estate agent before the property was even put on the market and advised that this could be a potential issue. Although I have managed to obtain alot of information from English Heritage, Bradford Council and The Government department, this should have been advised to us by Whitneys at the start. I found them to be slow, the photos they took at first were awful, we had to retake them and provide our own, the first online advert had spelling mistakes bad grammar and there was information missing. We have now removed our property from Whitneys and would not seek out advice from them in the future. We lost the house we wanted and in an effort to get interest in our property tried to go duel agency to which they refused. Will never use them as estate agents long as I live
