My partner and I rented a lovely 3 bedroom detached bungalow in Hayling Island. Prior to us both moving in we requested that the bathroom have a bath installed in addition to the shower and enquired if two new television points could be added ( one in the kitchen and one in the main bedroom). After more than a dozen calls to the Havant office asking for the t.v points to be added and for a noisy shower unit to fixed, we were given empty promises of the matter to be resolved when no action was taken at all. The information that was passed to the landlady due to our requests , were not what we were requesting at all and we were consistently told that our requests were being dealt with , when clearly they were not and we were now being ignored as Beals has collected their money from us. The overall level of customer service and professionalism from the Havant office was awful and dreadful and the only thing that this office got right was when we phoned into pay our rent for the month. Even when I called in , I was called mate, fella and their finishing line was usually cheers!! We were paying £1200 per month on a property that was listed at £1100.00. We paid extra to ensure we could safeguard the property. Out landlady was paying for a gold landlord service and she too was experiencing poor customer service, she was ignored when she visited the Havant office when a sales consultant spoke to friend who had visited the office!! During our tenancy I emailed one of the partners from Beals on two separate occasions to complain at my dissatisfaction of the level of service that we had received. The partner concerned did apologise for some of the items that I had highlighted as unsatisfactory. I ask anybody that if they purchased anything for £1200.00 and it was unreasonably noisy (the shower unit) and the t.v points had not been installed and took 2 months to be installed only after we had direct contact with the landlady herself. Once we had established contact with our landlady , everything that we had been requesting had been fulfilled. Please Beals, answer me what you and your Havant office were doing with regards to our fairly simple and reasonable requests? Now that we have left the property and you are claiming that we will lose all of our £1200.00 deposit to go on repairs is a like your customer service and professionalism, a joke. We knew that as we had complained about your service and your company that we would be hit with our deposit. Word of warning to anybody who is thinking of using Beals for letting or buying, please consider other companies because they do nothing at all to help the tenants or the landlords. My landlady was so fed up with Beals that she has given the property to be managed my another company now. Dreadful, awful and woeful. As prospective tenants, read your contract and look at what Beals want you to do when you leave. I have no idea what Beals actually do apart from market the properties!!!!!!!! I understand that the landlady to put comments on this website highlighting her dissatisfaction with Beals.

No discount offered to our monthly fees even if just for one months rent as they did not provide a proper service to us. Even the Branch Manager came around to apologise.

Both Jamie and Chris have been extremely helpful throughout our first buying experience so far. We moved into our rented property in November. There is a huge pile of rubbish festering in our front garden; this rubbish belongs to the landlord. Started off a bit slow, but communication improved as time went on. To be fair, the seller was extremely slow and unorganised, losing paperwork and taking ages and lots of chasing to actually do anything and I understand that the agent had to do a lot of running around to get the correct paperwork...
