My partner and I rented our first property through Eaton Terry Clark, who showed us a couple of properties while we were making our choice. During the viewing process, Jill, who was showing us around, was very helpful and patient. She was honest and helped us to make a clear decision. Putting down our deposit, and going through checks was a very straight forward, relaxed process, and we were really pleased and excited about moving into the property. The property itself was in a good condition, although the kitchen wasn't really clean enough for me (insides of cupboards sticky), and the wardrobes were quite dusty, but all in all it was a very reasonably priced home. We were there for two years and during that time we had no problems with the agents, in fact they arranged for things to be fixed whenever requested. There was a known damp problem in the property, and my one grievance was that I was't adequately warned about this until my first flat inspection, during which the lady told me that there had always been problems, and that the gentleman who had lived there before us had had to rearrange furniture to keep his property from becoming damaged. However, it was a manageable problem, and I believe at one point they offered to pay for the cleaning products we had to use to keep the damp mold at bay. When we moved out, getting our deposit back was no problem, the fees for them to clean were incredibly reasonable, and all in all I think we were spoilt, because I can't find a lettings agency that's even half as good now that I'm looking to rent again!
