I was shown a house by an agent who didn't appear that interested, and didn't know a lot about the property, saying that a different agent had been doing the earlier viewings, this was his first day doing one. Soon after, I got a call from Savills asking me if I was interested in the property and did I want to make an offer - they claimed they had already got an offer for the asking price. I was a bit surprised, since I didn't think the property was worth the asking price, but in this market anything was possible. So I said I wasn't interested in bettering the offer. At this point, the agent was uncomfortably pushy, and wanted to know why exactly. I gave him a few reasons, and mentioned that I preferred a similar property on the market at the time (with another agent). The agent very rudely said 'good luck with that!' before ringing off. I was quite startled at the level of discourtesy... One month later, the house was still on the market - so I really doubt the claim made about the offer at asking price. I've encountered agents who were courteous and people of integrity, I didn't feel I got either of these at Savills - I'm seriously disappointed with the quality of service.
1) Been honest about whether an offer had indeed been made for the property 2) Known more about the house they were showing 3) If they were going to call me up and ask me whether I was interested in making an offer, at least be polite! Sneering is really not going to help the odds of making a sale.

19 Dec 2022Savills Cambridge is the worst agency I've ever had a dealing with. Dodgy as and vague and dishonest. Put a property on sale in central Cambridge and made out only cash buyers could buy it then made out there was a bid of 870k so outbidded that then told the only other person allowed to buy the property had reduced their offer by 75k from 850k so reduced my offer 850k based on the claim the other bid was 775k or not much above, then told that all alone the seller only wanted sell to people in top half of the house. Just lies and spin and lies and spin. Waste of time dealing with these sorts of agents.

Everything an estate agent should be (but so often isn't). Stewart has given us outstanding service. He is kind, attentive, empathetic, does not pressurise but is quietly encouraging and is responsive to questions and concerns. We were very fortunate to have someone so thoughtful and... Every single part of my dealings with Savills has been a joke. Been sent sensitive correspondence meant for another person, had the majority of my emails ignored, been overcharged rent, been billed for rent after a tenancy expired accompanied by threat if legal action, been spoken to rudely by both ... Jokes! Given the level of mistakes and incompetency. I've glad paid fees in the past for professional work but this was insult to injury.

Following a flood at my apartment the letting agents from Savills Cambridge, consistently failed to act accordingly with my lease and in good faith to help remedy the situation. They kept my rent money despite the lease stating that it would be returned when the flat was rendered uninhabitable (it ... Read Full Review

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
