4 Let (Weston-Super-Mare)

The worst rental experience of my life - do not use these guys to rent or sell property. A family-run business with no professionalism and unethical letting practices. Snide and condescending staff who laugh about and look down on many of their customers/tenants. I rented a one-bedroom property from 4Let Ltd for five years. The standard of the property was not wonderful and repairs took ages. After a year the lettings manager decided to use the telephone number I had provided the company to sext and flirt with me, so I changed my number. When I informed the owner of the agency of his behaviour and said I was considering applying for an injunction against them, instead of reprimanding the guy, they started a campaign to protect their agency and intimidate me. The owner followed me in a car, entered my property illegally when I was out and broke fittings and fixtures (including an air fan), re-branded their agency with a new professional lettings agency slogan and put pictures of happy couples on their website and 4Let company branding. They are complete charlatans and have no proper accreditation. My landlord, who was a close friend of the owner of 4Let, would also not give the required legal notice to enter my flat and would simply turn up as he wished. A builder he commissioned to carry out work simply let himself in my flat at 8 am (with no prior notice - I was not dressed or expecting him). They have no consideration or care for housing of property laws whatsoever or their tenants, which they have a earned a bad reputation amongst for sending out very harsh rude letters at the drop-of-a-hat and not carrying out necessary work. Avoid at all costs!
