AVOID is the conclusion after my experience with Cauldwell as a letting agent. Completely unorganised - I dealt with a different staff member every time I had contact. The check on a prospective tenant (which they do via HomeLet) returned false and incomplete information. I had to get the necessary information from the tenant directly to get a complete and correct picture. Addressed this with the branch manger who essentially could not care less. I could go on and on about the experience I have had with them. They have absolutely no sense of customer service whatsoever. I will certainly never use Cauldwell again and do want to pass this on to everyone: Avoid Cauldwell at any cost!!

We fully appreciate your comments regarding speaking with different staff members however thanks to the kind people of Milton Keynes and lots of excellent service we are fortunate to have experienced fantastic growth as a business and to ensure the standards of service are met it is imperative for any business to employ sufficient staff members. We are satisfied that we were able to assist you at every phone call and query you had and we have found poor communication (or lack of) is usually one of the major concerns for most customers of which we have tried to alleviate with sufficient staff numbers and apologise you did not find this communication to your satisfaction. Following just three days of marketing a tenant was quickly found for you and we provided you with the prospective tenants application forms showing their current residential and income status and arranged for you to meet them in order for you to make a clear and precise decision before agreeing to your chosen tenant. Following your satisfaction from the meeting and paperwork supplied the applicant was agreed subject to referencing checks through the UK's largest referencing agency 'Homelet'. Homelet were satisfied with the information provided and offered you a rent and legal protection policy based on this information and at no time was the information ‘false and incomplete' as advised in your review, this was indeed your own conclusion based on your thoughts surrounding this process from Homelet. Although your tenants were acceptable for tenancy this was not deemed as satisfactory for you and you asked for more proof of income, which we obtained and supplied to you. Again not fulfilled, you approached the tenant directly for further information which would not have had any bearing on the final acceptance report for the tenant you have now agreed to rent your home. During your process you have spoken with our Lettings Manager on several occasions and she has reassured you that everything you have experienced was extremely normal and she has always dealt with your concerns in a professional, courteous and timely manner. We are of course extremely disappointed you have chosen this forum to further air your concerns over this usual process however remain extremely satisfied of our work as your regulated rental agent and wish you all the best with your new tenancy.

28 Sept 2017Homelet information supplied to me in written form was INCORRECT. False information regarding per annum income. Information to fully clarify the actual financial situation was NOT supplied by Cauldwell but after me directly contacting the the prospective tenant he supplied such proof directly to me. That is what I mean having to do the job that I had expected Cauldwell to do myself. Astonishing that Cauldwell cannot even admit to something not having been done properly. Therefore I am choosing this means of voicing my disappointment.
