Wilson's first marketed my four bed property in July 2013 after choosing Wilson's Estate Agents above Webber's as I was very impressed with their web site and sales staff member Dan. Since July 2013 I think we have had approx 15 viewings and NO offers. Of the 15 viewings, four or five either had not yet marketed their property or were not in a position to proceed and the remainder were ready to proceed. If you expect any feedback from this agent at best it is 50:50. Be also prepared for their clients to either cancel at the last minute or not turn up at all and then be prepared not be be told about it until days later. I reduced my property by £10K on Tuesday as in a previous discussion with Chris Willey he said that price was the problem and if by reducing the price Wilson's could not sell the property then he suggested I "sack them". Anyway, after I instructed Wilson's to reduce the price by e-mail which they did on their website I also challenged them to sell/increase the viewings of the property at the reduced price within eight weeks or the competition would have the sale.

Wilson's response to my challenge was astonishing.........! Instead of taking up the challenge they found my e-mail "offensive" and unbelievably have stated '"they no longer wish to market the property". I am a professional and my e-mail was firm but polite and Wilson's didn't have the decency to even phone me to discuss. Sadly I have to say in 25 years of using estate agents Wilson's have hit a new low - not impressed.

We decided to go local and use Willey and Son (they are now known as Wilsons) to sell our property. We had a viewing almost immediately unfortunately this was a complete waste of time as the viewers told us they wanted in excess of one acre - ours is clearly only third of an acre and an older property - ours was built in 1985 and they didn't even have their property on the market. It took them 5 days before they came back to us with any feedback. In the next five months we only had one more viewing which again was a waste of time. Their customer service was terrible they rarely contacted us, it was down to us to keep in touch with them to find out what interest there was. After five months we decided enough was enough and then they had the nerve to try and charge us £250 for the privilege, despite Dan assuring us the fee only came into force if the property was removed from sale at the beginning. We believe that 5 months and only 2 views was giving them enough of a chance. If you are thinking of selling don't choose Wilsons!!

What agent could do to change your mind?

Very poor communication and not wiling to go the extra mile. Poor feedback, clients that cancel and no shows and clients not in a position to proceed didn\'t help.

Improved customer service, regular weekly contact and needless to say aggressive marketing that generates viewings!
