I should start this review by saying that I have already followed Springboks complaints procedure which in itself was a disaster, although I expect they will refute all this as seems to be the case in all their other reviews.
My property was marketed at offer in excess of £215k of which I was guaranteed to walk away with £210K after promises were made that springbok had a pool of cash buyers waiting…Really?
Eventually a buyer with a mortgage in principal was found after I did the viewing myself and was advised not to discuss price with the potential buyer.
Having since spoken to the buyer he immediately put in an offer (£220k) and paid a deposit of £2.5k to Springbok.
Despite having accepted the offer and taking a deposit I was told that in order for the sale to go through I would have to drop my price by a further £3k as obviously I was unaware what the offer on the table was.
Out of desperation I agree to drop another £2k and the agent accepted this weirdly without the need to go back to the buyer.
It should be noted that when I actually found out after the sale had gone through and complained there was no apology or reasoning behind such dishonest and I would almost say fraudulent practice but they agreed to honor the original price.
In a way I was lucky the only reason that I had not already paid was because the solicitor (supposed to be paid for by Springbok and instructed by them was so inept that they failed to pay springbok the correct amount.
On this note I was accused by Springbok of instructing the solicitor to not pay the full fee. I asked for evidence of this ridiculous and untruthful claim and of course none could be provided as it was pure fabrication.
Springbok were unable to provide me with a breakdown of costs or an invoice and I was then referred to a collections company. I'm still being chased now for the £500 legal fees which Springbok are supposed to be.
At the end of the day Springbok have had £9500 for doing very little and what little they did was underhand, dishonest, untruthful etc etc.
A company that promises a lot, delivers very little and takes advantage of people who are in a situation where they need to sell quickly.
At 3 times the cost of a traditional estate agent, there is no truth in you get what you pay for.
I will be referring to the Property Ombudsman as soon as everything is cleared up.

The practice of accepting an offer and taking a deposit from the purchaser and THEN once an offer has been accepted pressuring the seller into reducing their price is wholly dishonest and stinks of corruption. We can see that an internal investigation has already taken place and our response was previously shared with you, so in light of this we are able to comment that your price was discussed with you by your negotiator and our standard procedures were followed as well as communicating price adjustments to your agreement with you that were considered to be necessary at the time. Your sale did indeed complete at the original amount that was agreed with you. In regards to the solicitors, we did not intend to place blame, rather explain what had occurred. As explained, when following a normal process, the buyer's solicitor would send the sale proceeds to your solicitors, and your solicitors would fulfil any due balance, your sale proceeds would be fulfilled to you, and you would not need to do anything further. In this situation, the solicitors did not follow this process so it was clear to our internal team that an alternative process had taken place. All of the information about how your agreement, fees and more is explained in the contract in clear and plain terms, and our internal team have provided you with responses to your concerns. Should you wish to request an independent review by The Property Ombudsman we would be open and willing in assisting with their requests. Springbok Properties strives to provide a high standard of service to all our customers at all times. If you feel we have not achieved this in any way, we'd really like you to tell us.
If You Have a Complaint
If you're not happy for any reason, your first point of contact should be with the team handling the sale of the property. It doesn't matter if you are the vendor, a prospective buyer or you have purchased the property through us. The team you have been dealing with will get started on resolving any issues as soon as they are aware of the problem.
If they can't help, they will escalate you complaint within our internal complaint procedures. You will be contacted by a manager or assistant manager the same day if we can.
Sometimes a complaint can be complex, or requires some investigation on our part. You may feel you would like to make your complaint more formal. If that is the case, please feel free to contact us by email or post.

The team you have been dealing with will get started on resolving any issues as soon as they are aware of the problem.
If they can't help, they will escalate you complaint within our internal complaint procedures. You will be contacted by a manager or assistant manager the same day if we can.
Sometimes a complaint can be complex, or requires some investigation on our part. You may feel you would like to make your complaint more formal. If that is the case, please feel free to contact us by email or post.
