Never in my life have I received such bad customer service. I work in a role where customers are our priority and we don't charge the outrageous fees that Reeds Rains do! To charge that much I would expect top notch service, how wrong I was!
Once they called us inform us of the progress of our application. No voice mail when the call was missed. We called back a minute or two later (we had been called to chase them up I'd say 6/7 the 2 days before to be told each time "someone will call you back") to wait 5 minutes for someone to answer the phone and tell us they have no record of us on the system and the house we wanted is no longer taking viewings. He couldn't tell us anything else so yet again we were told "someone will call you back". The following day we waited for the call. It never came so we called them to be told our offer hadn't been accepted and the property had gone to someone else. No would you like to make another offer or any form of feedback, just someone will call you tomorrow to let you know why! We will see if tomorrow actually comes!
Their testimonials on the website have either been fabricated , the customers have never experienced good customer service or they have got confused over the branch they have used as I would recommend Morley Reeds Rains to no one! I have complained to them directly but to be honest I doubt they will come back with an explanation either as all they seem to be bothered about is taking £240 per person who is to go on the tenancy! Disgusting!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Contact their customers as promised instead if the customer having to chase them.
If the first suggestion isn't possible then reduce thir fees as no one should pay thone fees to be ignored.

For the fees they charge I would expect an impeccable level of service but the staff have no idea how to talk to people let alone customers!

I'm sorry you missed out on this property. Please understand that properties are let on a first-come-first-served basis, and are removed from the market when an application is submitted and approved by the Landlord. On some occasions, we are not able to get hold of a Landlord straight away, and so the property is advertised until the Landlord approves the application. During this time, it is possible for more than one application to be submitted, which, unfortunately will cause disappointment for one or more individuals; however, an application fee will only be taken from the applicant the Landlord wishes to proceed with. This is not a usual situation and something we try to avoid.
We appreciate that this can be a stressful time for house hunters, and please accept our apologies for not keeping 100% across the situation. This is something we will work hard to improve upon.
Our application fees are similar to those of other agents and something we are very transparent about. I believe there may be some confusion surrounding this, please feel to call our office and we will explain our fee structure in more detail.
