Some local estate agents were charging in excess of ‚£600 for referencing fees (more than a month's rent!) and this didn't include the added extras they were claiming I needed (such as a Guarantor form). Maitlands fees were very reasonable, no hidden fees and they didn't add on extras for me to pay for that weren't needed.
