Paul also told us the owner was selling as his wife divorced him and he was moving in with the mistress he was caught with, absolutely not the case after speaking to the neighbours, he was a well loved man who's wife passed from cancer and he didn't start dating again for nearly a decade afterwards. Refused to speak to us or even look at us on key collection day just chucked the keys at us. Honestly when we buy our next house I would actively avoid any listings with them

I used Your Move with the recent sale of our property in Devon. I had submitted all of the paperwork, including a Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ) where I explained at length about recent flooding events due to a network issue. Your Move took it upon themselves, to copy that PIQ, remove the very important details and then forge my signature, in what I can only believe to be some sort of an attempt at trying to sell the property quickly, hassle free and using trickery for potential buyers. Your Move accidentally sent the forged document to me, as part of the complaints procedure where I was accused of not declaring the flooding, prior to the property being marketed. It took them 8 weeks to finally offer a derisory £250 compensation, for what amounts to gross misconduct, fraud and forgery. I’d certainly recommend against using Your Move, unless you want to potentially land yourself in a lot of bother in years to come. Thankfully, the information about the flooding had come out through other sources and the buyer did not wish to renegotiate the sale price.

My advice would be to go with another company if you are letting your property , as the last 3 tenants they have provided have fallen well below expectation . In addition they made no less than 4 mistakes when doing the contracts , despite my emailing them with precise information . They are also poor at any follow up work .

The agents fees aren’t the cheapest or dearest but the service you get makes it well worth the money.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should not charge for 'Permitted Occupier' fee in addition to the holding fee.
The agent should not nominate or pass my details on to any energy supplier but should leave that to me to decide which supplier to use. They should take that out of the agreement form.
Comments on Agent Fees
I was charged a holding fee of £300 which was not refundable. They also charged me £90 for permission for my son to move in as a "Permitted Occupier". I feel this is an unfair fee and should be refunded to me.

Hi As a tenant newly moved in I was unaware (my fault) that YOUR MOVE estate agency would not allow me to choose my own energy supplier and by default I have to go with their choice which is Spark Energy. I have tried to stop the transfer and to make Flow Energy my first choice but I am told that although the gas transfer won't take place for another 3 days, the transfer is in process and I cannot change so I have to go with Spark. Spark tell me that it will take around 3 weeks for the transfer from the date of the change. I am annoyed with Your Move who did not highlight to me (I did not read the small print) that they had choice of my energy provider. I have asked them why they have chosen Spark and whether YOUR MOVE make a profit from my having to use Spark Energy but I have not had any reply from them. I do not know the tariffs for Spark but have YOUR MOVE have given me no choice but to go with them. So be wary, all prospective tenants of YOUR MOVE estate agency, and read the small print. Even if you read the small print, you may not have a choice. ! Landlord - if you are aware that YOUR MOVE force tenants to use Spark, please speak up against this!
