It was brought to our attention from the estate agent whom we put on offer with that our buyer still had their property listed. They contacted Cubitt & West who didn't get back to them or even inform us. We were never informed of anything and this was brought to our attention 6 weeks after accepting the offer. After my own tiresome investigation I found out that my buyer had never had any offers at all on their property. My Wife and I were really stressed at this point as we were preparing to move to our new home and at this stage and didn't think anything was wrong. Cubitt and West didn't call or email my Wife and I back for over a week nor fully investigate what had happened. We had to keep chasing them which was unacceptable in our opinion. We were both so stressed as you can imagine, especially if your estate agent is ignoring you and not returning calls/emails. Our trust at this point was non existent with Cubitt and West and so we cancelled all business with immediate effect.

We decided to call Andrew at Williams Harlow and explain the situation. We knew them from previously advertising our property. After a chat with Andrew and a meeting with Steven they put our minds at rest and immediately got our property on the market, followed by a sale only 2 weeks later.
The team at Williams Harlow were so helpful and understanding with our situation that any help and advice was given immediately.
We must say a very special thank you to Steven who was always on the end of a phone/email. His attention to detail was second to none. He was constantly checking through the whole chain and left no stone unturned. At times I thought my Wife and I were driving him mad with all the phone calls but he worked tirelessly over 10 weeks to answer any queries and constantly kept us informed. We really cannot thank Steven enough for his professionalism and for simply being so helpful and understanding. If you're thinking of selling your property or you're with another estate agent who's not doing enough for you then Williams Harlow is where you should be at. They are leading the way in the Banstead area right now and for good reason. Thanks so much again to the Williams Harlow team.

We have rented through williams harlow for a year now. We paid a full year upfront. I have to say the actual living in the property has been fine. It was the moving in that was the stressful part and communication skills and customer care are very poor. It took 2 months before my partner could be added to the tenancy due to **incompetence . i would suggest putting everything into an email with him just to avoid confusion. And my feelings are that if you are not a desirable tenant in his eyes he will talk down to you and is very snobby in his approach. We are moving out and I am doing everything by email as he does seen to get really confused and even by email he struggles to understand. You have to put things in a very simple way otherwise he will not understand . we have given notice and its already been stressful as you really have to put things so simply otherwise he gets confused and replies back and still doesnt understand. It can get very wearing and its like talking to my 9 year old. I sold my house with williams harlow and that side is excellent but the lettings side is not so good. I am speaking from my experience as a tenant . this is just a warning really to people if you are thinking of renting from them.

Having had 3 agents come to value my property we decided to use Williams Harlow as we felt they offered a better overall package, as in turning up on time, no corporate speak, and I was aware of a previous sale a week earlier in which they sold the property quickly.
Having done my homework and getting the house prepared for sale I instructed them and said I wanted the house listed on Rightmove before Easter weekend. Andrew Bull took the pics and the house went live on Rightmove on the Thursday night. We had an open house 2 weeks later on the Sat, on the day we had 1 viewing with an good offer on the
Monday. We rejected the offer as we felt we could get a closer offer to the asking price. We had another open day the following Sat with 4 viewings and 2 offers on the Monday. We accepted an offer from a couple in rented accomadation very close to the asking price. Andrew Bull and his team kept me up to speed with qualifying the buyers and what was happening all along. During the viewings Barry & Steve accompanied the viewers so it was hassle free for us.
The valuation by them was spot on and the sale achieved 100% of what they said. I initially was going to try and sell via an online estate agent however having researched it more thoroughly read that initially they are good but once a sale proceeds they are lacking with follow ups and if there are any issues things can go wrong very quickly.
We are very happy with the service provided by all of the team at WH, we sold our house for an excellent price and it went very smoothly. Thoroughly recommended.

I asked Williams Harlow to be our sole agents in Feb 2014 as I noticed many of their Sold signs on houses in my area. My house photos and details were completed expertly by Andrew Bull. Very good at selling themselves but very poor customer service once the contract was signed. I am just pleased we negotiated them down to 0.9% commission rather than their standard 1.5%.
The property sold within a week, due to the house rather than Williams Harlow. We had four viewings and not once did they offer to show people round, it was left to my wife who was caring for our 10 month old baby.
Once sold, very little contact from them. We had to constantly chase for updates. The only time they were proactive is when we agreed a completion date and they sent through their final bill asking for a prompt payment.
Be warned, their sales leaflets say they send details out to everyone on their books interested in similar properties. They do do this but then don't contact people. They wait for potential buyers to come to them. I was informed by one of Williams Harlow staff this was standard practice because it would take too much time to phone people and ask if they were interested in the property.
Having complained about the service to one of the partners a few weeks into the sale, very little happened. Upon completion I complained once again about the lack of service and received a confrontational letter ignoring the points I had raised and telling me in their opinion it was an excellent sale because it sold quickly.
it would appear my idea of customer service is different to theirs. They rate theirs on completion times quickness of sale, I look at the service they provided from start to finish.
I can honestly say I would not use Williams Harloe again and have already warned friends and family not to use them.
