St Ives area guide
This small town offers great living spaces and sightseeing opportunities. As a typical old market town, St Ives has a lot of small lanes and winding alleyways to get lost in. The main attraction in the town centre is the very unusual bridge with a chapel. St Ives is perfect for family living with great bus routes to Cambridge for a day out in the Science Park. In addition, there are plenty of good primary and secondary schools and lots of shops, clubs, and societies to cater for any of your hobbies and interests.

Thomas Morris provided us with 10/10 service from start to finish. When we first inquired about a property we wanted to view they were able to arrange a viewing quickly as well as offerings us a range of other properties to view on the same day which as first time buyers was a massive help as it showed us what was on the market. We used the excellent Justyna to arrange our mortgage, she was able to provide us with all of the information we required to make an informed decision on which lender to go with. If we had any questions she would always get back to us quickly with the answer. She was always able to explain the complexities of a mortgage/the process of getting a mortgage in a way that was very understandable which as a first time buyer was invaluable. Once we had had our offer accepted we were kept up to date by Lizzie Bloxham who did a fantastic job of managing the chain. She was able to provide us with a comprehensive round up of where each party in the chain was at and when she thought completion would take place. She provided us with regular updates which helped us understand where we were at in the process. Overall I couldn't fault the service we received from Thomas Morris, everyone we dealt with was very professional and always able to help with any enquiry or question we had. Finally I would like to thank Justyna, Lizzie, Danielle, Becky and the entire Thomas Morris Team for helping us find our first home!

The team at Thomas Morris in St Ives have been absolutely incredible throughout our sale and purchase. We'd been on the market for 6 month prior to listing with TM and were getting really fed up with the whole situation. Paul valued our home and helped me to feel more positive about relisting. Danielle and Jackie have always been so friendly and helpful in relation to organising viewings and even printing documents off for me at the office. Lizzie has been our main point of contact for the last few weeks of the purchase and sale process and I couldn't recommend her more highly. She's always brought such a personal touch to everything, asks us how we're feeling and has genuinely made us feel so much better after what has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride to sell our home and buy our new home. During the initial process we found that we were being chased for paperwork that wasn't relevant to us but once the agent changed from our original person to Jemma we felt a lot more confident in her abilities to ensure the sale went through without a problem. Jemma was great at dealing with minor enquiries and was always a pleasure to speak to.

Excellent communication and start-to-finish service. Having exchanged on our sale and purchase I'm happy to report that Thomas Morris provided an excellent service. They pitched our house at the right price, produced a very good brochure (under a very watchful eye), took care of every viewing and in particular, they managed to get us a timely sale above our guide price. They have communicated quickly and effectively throughout the entire process ensuring enabling us to make sensible decisions when dealing with offers (we were lucky enough to have multiple) and with other agents and solicitors in the chain. I would definitely recommend the team at St Ives and have felt in safe hands throughout.

We rented a property a couple of years ago! All I can say is.....
Best service we ever had from an estate agent! I'm not surprised that this company is award winning. Superb service! They always called or got in contact to enter the property, if say for gas checks or meter readings needed to be done! I can remember the agent trying to me contact via phone and email to inform me/to give verbal confirmation to enter the property for gas check! I rented with a few other estate agency before and they always entered the property without confirmation. So I was extremely amazed how hard he tried and how much effort he made to get in contact! I heard the stress and relieve in his voice when I finally picked up the call. Bless him!
Also out electric cook broke and they instantly got someone over to fix it! The property was in good condition and had no problems with mould or ventilation during the winter period!
When it was time to leave, they were always on the same page and took our comments into consideration. We were quite young when we rented the property at the time but still treat us like adults and went through the correct procedure! You don't realise how good an agency is when your young until you're older! If we ever move back to Cambridgeshire, we'd be going straight to Thomas morris! The fees are worth the brilliant customer service!
Seriously his company is one of the good ones and highly recommended! Can't stress that enough!

Whilst not the most complicated of sales, it had it ups/downs and frustrations with the loss of two lots of buyers at the bottom of the chain. The key to final success lay with their timely communication of issues/progress whilst still remaining cheerful and proactive in their marketing. On the odd occasion I had to contact them, they were very quick to respond and obtain the answers I needed.

Selling a house is a very daunting prospect, but Paul sat down with us and patiently explained each stage of the process, leaving us with the feeling it was all a "well oiled machine".

Since putting our house on the market, Thomas Morris, St Ives office, have exceeded our expectations. From the initial valuation by Paul to the sale of our property the service has been exceptional with all the office staff being very professional and friendly. Selling a house is a very daunting prospect, but Paul sat down with us and patiently explained each stage of the process, leaving us with the feeling it was all a "well oiled machine".
During the time when the house was on the market we were abroad for a few weeks. We were skeptical at first about being away but were assured it would not be a problem, which proved to be the case, Katy and her staff kept us constantly updated with reports on all the viewings and how the market was performing - great communication.
In the future, should we ever need to sell again, Thomas Morris will be our first port of call, we cannot recommend them highly enough.
