There are no words to express how poor Taylors in Stevenage are. Got handed keys to our flat (renting), and found the place had new damp/moult inset, broken windows, drawings all over the walls, and the bathroom was so rancid I had t see the GP for irritation to my vocal tract due to the toxic smell.
We tried getting hold of the estate agent on the day to deal with these issues, but after initially being promised a call back, they clearly turned their phones off and locked up the office. The emergency maintenance line they provided also failed to answer, so we were left stuck.
Now, almost a month later, we have not been able to move in. We are fighting for release form our tenancy, as well as getting a full refund - but the people we have been dealing with have lied to us, deceived us, been incredibly rude, and clearly couldn't care at all.
We were promised a COVID safe deep clean of the property before our move in date, which did not happen. And, despite confirmation in writing, they are now saying it was not their responsibility to clean. Madness. The property is not safe for habitation in its current condition.
We have reported them to all relevant agencies and regulators, and we will be seeking legal action.
Avoid at all costs.

Awful. Flat was disgusting when I moved in - pubic hair everywhere and absolutely dirty. I've now moved out and the landlord wants to charge me for cleaning despite the flat being professionally cleaned before I moved out and the flat being cleaner than what I arrived into. Taylors have not even bothered to look at the move in inventory and are wanting to deduct my deposit for nail holes and paint markings on walls/doors - despite these CLEARLY LABELLED AND IDENTIFIABLE ON THE MOVE IN INVENTORY. Ir's been almost two months since I moved out and all I've heard from Taylors was (1) that I didn't have a deposit with them, (2) oh wait- I did have a £980 deposit with them, they forgot, (3) we want to charge you for cleaning and the holes in walls even though these were here before you moved in and are clearly listed in the move-in inventory, and (4) absolute silence on when I can even get the deposit back and even fight the charges.
Sarah at CountryWide is absolutely useless at her job.
Just give me my money back. I'm seeking legal action.

Ellie and her team (including Megan and Helen) were so committed to our needs, sold our home twice, support us when hurdles needed to be overcome and nothing was too much for them. In a summary, a professional, committed and motivated team. Thank you so much for supporting us through the 9-months.
