I recently sold my property through Townends, Guildford.
I've not had the best of experiences with estate agents, but felt compelled to write a review and thank you, for the service i received from them, especially from Lee Glome, who is an asset to them.
He was informative, pro-active as opposed to reactive and answered any questions i had, even the trivial ones. I probably bent his ear more than i should but he was the model pro and i will be recommending Townends to all my friends and family.

When we bought Arthur was very accommodating regarding viewings and kept us updated all the way though the process, it was a pleasure dealing with him.
When we sold Gina was extremely professional and proposed an excellent marketing plan, actually achieving a very good price. In addition to the usual estate agent activities, Gina also helped to facilitatie the purchasers conveyancing and really went the extra mile to achieve completion.

Firstly, they put a terrible tenant in our property. A fixed two year tenancy with no break clause (my fault for not picking that up but I have never had a tenancy with no 6 month break clause). We end up having to hire a solicitor to get her evicted. Then it turns out the Guarantors document that Townends had the tenants Mother signed, is totally worthless, so we are out of pocket by thousands of pounds due to rent arrears, legal costs etc. Then we email Townends and follow their complaints procedure, and they fail to follow their own complaints procedure.

Generally a great service recd as buyers of a property sold through townsend. The only down we had was that we had to wait to get a response and chase a fair bit at the beginning when we had offered.
