I was negotiating to purchase a property in Ocean Village that Stanfords was advertising for a prolonged period of time. I was negotiating to purchase a property in Ocean Village that Stanfords was advertising for a prolonged period of time. They were also letting it and had new impending tenants because they had not been successful at selling it. I had negotiated a price and gone to view the property a second time after being clearly advised that there were no other offers or buyers after the property. The next day Hugh from the Portsmouth office phoned to advise me that they had a previous buyer back to purchase at our newly negotiated price!!! This is not allowed to share information from current negotiations by agency law and the portsmouth branch manager had obviously blatantly lied about there being no previous buyers or offers.

Just sold through Stanfords and every member of that team is great. From Lucy and Darren doing the viewings, to John helping the sale go through. Everyone helped where and when they could. One other viewing was arranged, we took time of work to be available to open the house, but no-one turned up, later found out the prospective buyer had cancelled with Stanfords but Stanfords didn't bother informing us.

These people are just brilliant. From Brad who did the viewing through Tim and Nick and just about every one. My house buying process was a long one and included a couple of fall throughs. These people are just brilliant. From Brad who did the viewing through Tim and Nick and just about every one. My house buying process was a long one and included a couple of fall throughs. Many other Agents in the area gave up on me thinking I was a time waster as I was being fussy but Stanford did not give up on me and I collected my keys on Friday. Thank you all at Stanford. Special mention here to Cliff at The Mortgage Hut. Also bloody brilliant.

We rented a property through Stanfords for a year, and I have to say it was the best experience I have ever had from a letting agency. When you went into the branch, you always got a friendly smile, and friendly hellos over the phone too. When there were maintenance issues - which were few and far between - they would have someone round to fix it asap. The people i'm with now haven't fixed our issues in the 5 months we've been here by comparison. You felt safe in the knowledge that if something went wrong, you would get a response asap and it would be dealt with. I just wish they'd had properties a bit further afield when we'd moved, so we could have stayed with them! I know from my renting experiences with them that when I'm looking to buy in the next few years, I'll be going to them first. And that's what agencies should be thinking about when they're fobbing you off and ignoring you.
