We also tried to buy a property being sold by the same estate agent and have had to withdraw our offer but that was due to a legal issue with a lease but we had lots of help and support from their team to try and progress this. Communication was excellent from Natalie in particular . She liaised with solicitors and management company’s and worked very hard which we appreciated . I found the whole office to be pleasant and understanding .

My nightmare with this firm darted in 2017 when they put a tenant into the house next door. I complained to them about the noise and the state of the garden to no avail. I had lived in this lovely estate since 2004 and my intention was to stay there. This particular neighbourhood used abusive language and would scream and shout in the early hours of the morning. I complained again. Nothing happened. Eventually she was evicted due to none payment of rent. I thought my nightmare was over. No such luck. The next neighbours moved in with several dogs and a pigeon cree in the garden which was the biggest eye sore I have ever seen! It appears the land lord took extra money as a deposit to allow for all of this. Then the drugs started and the foul language. I had finally had enough and have been forced to move out! Why should people have to put with this shocking behaviour!

I have spoken with Adele a lot during the process from my initial consultation to my tennant moving in yesterday - she has been a delight, always polite and quick in any queries I sent.
She has made the transition to landlord a simple and easy one and I'd recommend everyone to use RMS and Adele

We recently rented a property through Rook Matthews Sayer. It was a really positive experience, and I couldn't rate Adele Eagleton (the Lettings Consultant) or Summer Glen (who handled the paperwork and references) highly enough, they were friendly, professional and responded quickly to any queries we had.
RMS are partnered with Tili, who set up essential home services for movers, such as council tax, broadband etc. We received an email from RMS with details of how Tili would contact us to begin the process. It was not a service we were interested in using, and we didnt think anymore of it as Tili actually didnt contact us at all. Unfortunately, in that same email, in the small print it stated that our gas and electricity would be provided by Spark Energy. As it was in the small print, and not mentioned to us at any other point, we were unaware and unable to opt-out until it was too late. Spark Energy has extortionate tariffs, and it has been a difficult process to sort out 3 different energy suppliers: the previous tenant's supplier, Spark Energy and our preferred supplier. This has left a sour taste regarding our experience with Rook Matthews Sayer and we will be avoiding using them again in the future, as although the staff were great, the switching of energy suppliers without our explicit consent felt deceptive.

Selling my house had been an absolute nightmare in a previous sale due to going with an online estate agent so I was absolutely dreading it with how stressful it can be. Going with Rook Matthews Sayer Gosforth was the best decision, from the very start right the way through to completion day they excelled in customer service & I have been singing their praises to everyone who will listen. I know going with a branch estate agent is going to be more expensive than an online company, but speaking from experience, it is worth the extra money to know you are dealing with experienced staff who know how to do their job. All the staff were so helpful & caring & once the sale was underway, I was contacted regularly with up dates so never had to do any of the chasing. Money well spent & I will be recommending them for many years to come for anyone who is wanting to sell a house. Thank you to all the Gosforth branch, you made a very stressful situation seem easy & I can’t be grateful enough for that. X
