Our branch manager is a member of the National Association of Estate Agents and alone has 10 years experience working in the local area. The rest of the team holds 25 years of combined experience.

Our coverage consists of a 5 mile radius around Rye encompassing all surrounding villages and we cater for a range of properties, from town centre apartments to country mansion houses.

The Town of Rye
With its historic roots and medieval streets, Rye is a charming picturesque town. Rye is located just two miles from the open sea on the River Rother and surrounded by the Romney marshes along with the nearby sandy beach at Camber and shingle beach at Winchelsea. There is plenty to do and see, including one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Europe on the marsh, many water sports, cycle ways and footpaths. There are a large variety of pubs and restaurants in the town centre that offers various entertainments as well as quaint country pubs situated in the rural outlying countryside. The town offers a range of shopping facilities with good transport links, there is a local train service to Brighton and to Ashford in Kent with connections to London. There is car access to the M20 via the A2070 and A259. Fantastic experience buying through Reeds Rains, Rye. We bought a cottage in Brede, East Sussex through their agency. Luckily the staff at Reeds Rains, particularly Kerry and Stuart, stepped in and were able to get the deal back on track. They were able to apply pressure at the right points and act as intermediaries; able to make sure that the greed or frustrations of all parties involved did not cause the chain to implode. Always a pleasure to deal with even in times of immense stress. In the actual viewing process as well there was no BS and just felt like they were genuine and honest about the properties that they were showing us. If we think of buying an investment property in the future we will go back to them.

Absolutely horrendous experience
We rented a house in November and have had nothing but problems since day one
Main problem is that as they say they act as “facilitator “ for the property.Which in plain English means they collect the rent and to hell with maintenance issues.
We are informed that the landlord will handle maintenance issues.Quite frankly he does not.
Letting agent totally lied to us about issues raised before we moved in.Reeds Rains do have a maintenance Department..based in Southampton and not fit for purpose.
Had the issues regarding maintenance been disclosed prior to renting we definitely would have gone elsewhere
Legal discussions are ongoing and we will be seeking compensation.
Would NEVER entertain Reeds Rains again

Hannah, Stuart & indeed everyone in the Rye office has been helpful and communicative throughout the process and they dealt a blow to the negatives surrounding many estate agents. 10 out of 10.
