My partner and I were treated terribly by Reeds Rains. Never updated us or reached out to us when we put an offer in for a house through them. We had to call them daily to get any response, and most of the time it was something like 'we don't know' or 'not available'. Very unhelpful.
Landlord then rejected all applicants for this house, saying that they didn't want to do the paperwork regarding my guarantor. The fact that this landlord was accepted by the estate agent is a joke.
My partner called a different branch to ask if they had any other properties we could look at. The estate agent on the phone was rude and dismissive of us until they heard that my guarantor was financially l well off. After this they showed a lot more respect to my partner and upped our maximum rent to a number that we couldn't afford. My partner was made to feel disrespected and ashamed of her income by this estate agent.
Tldr: lack of communication, very rude and money grabbing staff. Stay away at all costs.

Worst experience I've ever had with a letting agent. I, with my partner attempted to arrange a viewing for a property in Upper brook street Manchester M13 , I spoke with a male agent in the city-centre lettings department over the phone at 4.01pm 06/04/2022 ,After I mentioned that we were in a civil partnership and the agent I spoke with realised our sexuality, he quickly backtracked and immediately began stating that it wouldn't be possible to rent this property as we 'didnt have kids and weren't married', I suggested that some people could view this as discrimination and the agent half agreed before saying that we would keep going in circles regarding this. I work in the legal sector and have been advised that legal action would be well within our right. I am not only shocked but very disappointed in the city of Manchester allowing these backward-thinking individuals to operate within it.

Played offers off against one a other to increase the price then sold it to other buyer. When I asked for an explanation they said other offer was from someone who viewed it before me. Found out this was a lie. The explanation then changed to 'property does not come off the market until ID check'. I was never told this. If I had been told when offer accepted would have been there Monday morning. Convenient that this information was 'miscoumunicated' and they ended up with a higher price. Buying/selling your house is stressful enough without dealing with people like this.

We have had terrible service throughout the past 11 months of our 12 month lease. Any time we need maintenance it is not followed up and we are forever chasing. We have had terrible service throughout the past 11 months of our 12 month lease. Any time we need maintenance it is not followed up and we are forever chasing. They have charged our landlords for work that had not been completed. We have dealt with approx. 11 different people and seem to go through staff like there is no tomorrow. We should have known from the very start when our initial rental was taken away from us the day before we were supposed to move in and did not find us another place for a whole months. I can go on with many more examples but just need people to know this is the worst experience I have ever had with a rental agency and would recommend to avoid it if you can.
