Landlords - do not let your property through Reeds. I literally don't know where to begin with how absolutely shambolic every department is of this company. 2 different sets of tenants were placed in the property who were placed in my property over the last 2 years. Landlords - do not let your property through Reeds. I literally don't know where to begin with how absolutely shambolic every department is of this company. 2 different sets of tenants were placed in the property who were placed in my property over the last 2 years. The last one didn't even pass the credit check, had false references and was doing porn and Only Fans from the property which was plastered all across social media, yet Reeds Rains said they did checks! This tenant stopped paying rent, completely trashed the house and then the incompetent idiots gave the tenant the deposit back without getting my evidence which proved she was still living in the property. I've since spent hours and hours of phone calls and emails with the completely arrogant staff to try and retrieve my deposit.

Fees are above market value for tenancy finding. They take one months rent PLUS vat. Plenty of agents in Chester take 75% or less.

Firstly, let me outline that Fraser from the Chester branch is FANTASTIC. He is NOTHING to do with this review - because he's amazing and literally the only person in the entire organisation that I trust in any way!
I've sold 2 properties with Reeds Rains, and used their tenant finding service. They repeatedly send mail to the houses I've sold and as they have different departments to deal with different areas of lettings (such as Tenancy Extension, and Check Out) who do not seem to communicate with one another OR the branches, your information is never up to date. The area manager Ian seems to have no understanding of the systems they use, and zero compassion. I've literally reached the end of my tether with this company and will be going to the Ombudsman.

I have to admit I had a fantastic experience when meeting Dan from Reeds Rains when he came to do a valuation on my property.
As my property is shared ownership, I had to gain at least three different valuations from different agencies (as requested by the housing association). By the point of Dan's visit I had already had two previous visits from other agents and was undecided if selling was the right way to go as I felt the other agents were more interested in telling me the cost of their service rather than how they would go about selling my home. As a first time seller, it can be quite a daunting experience so it was refreshing to speak to Dan and he gave me an honest and thorough explanation as to how the best approach to selling my home is/would be. He made me decide that my initial decision to put my home on the market was the right thing to do and allayed my concerns with regards to selling on the whole.
My visit came at around 5pm after I finished work and I received my valuation documents and other correspondence and research I asked him to look into for me by the same evening! On the whole, I couldn't recommend Reeds Rains service any more.

I found a property that I liked and was interested in so I looked online and requested someone call me - that's when the lovely Fraser called me a few hours later; he has made this whole situation for me so easy, by just being pleasant, welcoming & understanding to my needs and what I required, Fraser took everything on board that I said and really really worked hard to make sure my needs and requirements were met!
Very professional, friendly and trust worthy!
I highly recommend this company and the lovely Fraser - such a babe 💕 And even now I'm sorted with the keys he still advises he was there if I needed any advise or help!

Dan arranged our mortgage for us and was fantastic to deal with. Our appointments were really relaxed and we were impressed by Dan's knowledge of the market as he went through the different options with us. He discussed the pro's an cons of each product and offered advice but was never pushy. I work away so it's difficult for me to attend appointments during office hours but Dan was really flexible and came to see us at our home after work which was a great help. The fee was very fair for the time, effort and stress it saved us, and we got a great deal on our mortgage, so it was definitely money well spent. I would highly recommend Dan and will definitely be using him in the future.
