Easier to get blood from a stone. Impossible to get any information about our purchase! Repeatedly have to chase to get answers to the most basic questions. Easier to get blood from a stone.
Impossible to get any information about our purchase!
Repeatedly have to chase to get answers to the most basic questions. Tell you what you want to hear but not what you need to hear. Empty promises to keep us updated.
Tried going through them about this first but it's not got any better so thought potential customers need to know.

Having enquired about a property I was promised -by the manager-that I would be called back with further info on that same day - this call never happened. Having enquired about a property I was promised -by the manager-that I would be called back with further info on that same day - this call never happened. I called again on the next day and was told (by another member of staff) that I need not worry as I would not be left out of any opportunity to buy the property and my details were taken again. Called again 10 days later to be told that property was sold! Spoke to Lee Maddicks and he was offhand, defensive and rude and actually hung up on me. Wondering what actually went on with this sale!! Avoid this agent.

Redferns use some very debatable tactics to make it look like they have a stronghold in the property market. Houses that have been sold subject to contract are advertised as being available. When questioned about this we were told they only mark as sold once contracts have been exchanged (no point in marking it as sstc once contacts have been exchanged). Also they advised that many sales fall through, hence their reluctance to mark as sold. But no one took our details as being interested in those properties so we would never know if they did become reavailable. This happened to at least 5 properties we expressed an interest in. Clueless....

Lee Maddicks of Redferns has just sold a property for me and I'm more than happy with the service he offered.
I heard of Lee from numerous locals, all of whom spoke well of him. I first met him when he gave me advice on selling the property privately, and he was very helpful even though he wasn't at the time benefitting for giving the advice. When that sale fell through, I then went back to him to sell the property on the open market.
During the sale, I found him to be open, honest, friendly, smart, helpful, quick to return calls and respond to emails, and quick to understand what I wanted and go on to do it. This last point was particularly important to me because I was selling the property from 250 miles away. Furthermore, when various problems arose on the buyer's side, he was quick to diagnose and solve them: something that others including the mortgage advisor and mortage company were not able to do.
I'm now considering using his / their services on another matter.

We have been looking for a property over the last couple of months and found a house with Redferns that we wanted to apply for. We viewed the house; the agent was late, arrogant, uninformative and we felt as if we were intruding on his time - the viewing of the house being rushed through. Unfortunately other people wanted the property and we had to wait to hear back from the landlord as to who he chose for the house. Days went by, we phoned the agents every day but no news. Just given excuses constantly - being told by the agent that he was 90% sure that the house was ours etc and that they would definitely have a reply for us by the end of the day. Still no reply. Agents very unhelpful when we phoned for information. Decided to forget the house and not go with Redferns again. Very disappointing service.
