Also tried to charge to have 2 freezer draws ( that needed replacing) professionally fitted at a extravagant cost! All you had to do was open freezer and slid them in!
AND gave tenants wrong colour paint information ( as was told to touch up areas) this was brought to agencies attention, they said was their decorators that gave / passed on wrong colour. ( so clearly not tenants fault as bought and used what agency told them) BUT…
They not only did nothing to rectify their mistake but charged tenants £600 towards full house paint! And agency since lied saying did not give wrong colour paint!
RAH Cambridge seem to do all they can to keep your deposit and even try to charge more as in my family’s case!

Honesty, integrity, professionalism and friendly are words I would use to describe the service I have experienced from RAH. They were friendly and professional from start to finish. I used RAH to let a property in Cambridge. Megan at RAH was so kind and helpful from the beginning, helping with advice on how to bring the property up to required standards and to ensure compliance with current regulations. She was open and honest about the likely level of rental income which could be expected, without any of the usual flannel of exaggerated estimates just to secure the business. I am impressed.

This company is just the worst. My partner and I travelled from Leeds to Cambridgeshire to view one of their properties as prospective tenants - I had explained that we would be travelling 4 hours and would have to stay overnight in order to attend our viewing, so if there were any issues to please let us know with at least 24 hours notice so that we didn’t have to do an 8 hour round trip for nothing. I was assured that all would be fine, and I received a call at 9am on the morning of the viewing to confirm. So far so good. However, when we arrived at the property, we were not met with an agent but instead another prospective viewer, who told us that they had mislaid the keys and were running a bit behind. She also mentioned it was the 3rd time that it had happened that week (we were told that there were absolutely no viewings previous to ours, which was a blatant lie). We decided to walk around the area to pass the time, however when we got back there was a large crowd of other prospective tenants, and finally, the estate agent! The estate agent told us that they couldn’t get hold of the person who had the keys as they had ‘gone out for the day’ and they couldn’t get in touch, so they would have to move the viewing to the following day. I was naturally quite cross as I explained we had travelled a long way, booked off work to view, and payed for an overnight stay - and we had been assured that nothing would happen with the viewing with less than 24 hours notice. Other prospective tenants were asking why she could not just call the key-keeper, and she said she had to ‘go home early’ as she’s finished for the day. It was 2.30pm. We were advised to let a relative or work colleague view the property for us (we have no family or colleagues in the area as we explained). We were then told we would be provided with a video viewing, which never materialised. I am so disappointed with this company, complete disrespect for tenants and new customers. Avoid avoid avoid

I challenged it, and instead of discussion I got an eviction notice. My room in a share house of 6 has now been listed by RAH at a 10.7% increase compared to what I pay now, and is higher than comparative rooms in the same house that have historically been rented at the same rate as my own. Demonstrated no interest in coming back to negotiate - very agressive manouvre.

Beware. These guys will overwhelm you with their gushing faux-charm to get you to sign a contract, but then they'll tell you and your prospective buyers any number of stories to get a sale. We were ignored by them for four weeks after reluctantly agreeing to the only offer they brought us, and then they only contacted us to accuse us of removing their sold board (the one that they had put on our neighbour's property without seeking permission). Following that we were dismissed as not understanding the house purchase process when we demanded that they start doing some work to push through the sale, insulted when we dared to point out that they had not been entirely honest with us about our buyer's position, and generally made to feel like we were an inconvenience rather than clients. Save your money and use Purple Bricks.

Took a very long time to prepare the contract, that actually did not corresponded to what the landlord promised me. It was also interesting to see the phone going down so many times when I tried to contact them. They lied to me trying to pass an extra paper while I was signing the contract. And when I arrived the room was a mess, dirty floor and windows.

Despite not being their actual client, they were helpful at every stage of the process - booking viewings, making offers, getting closer to exchange, negotiation, completion, and finally picking up the keys. The entire process was very pleasant and professional, especially my contact with Pauline at the viewings, Helen and Ellyn in marketing, and Jane for exchange and completion. It is so rare and refreshing to find an estate agent that is transparent and helpful, that I told them this a number of times - and I wasn't trying to butter them up. (I had even avoided viewing one particular property with another company because of an extremely poor experience with said company at a previous viewing.) When friends heard that Redmayne Arnold & Harris were the marketing agents for properties I was interested in, they said they were very good, but it was great to experience that for myself, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use their services in the future. Thank you to all at RAH for a great experience as a first time buyer!

PS: And just to add some balanced constructive criticism - one point for improvement would be to have outgoing emails from RAH Sales set to reply-to the correct address, so I didn't have to keep putting the address in manually. Emails sent to the default address would eventually reach where it needed to go, but obviously with some delay. Jane did tell me about this, but it was confusing nevertheless!

Redmayne, Arnold & Harris did an outstanding job in showing us several properties in Cambridge that we were interested in buying. Since we were buying a rather modest property, if such a thing exists in Cambridge these days, we were particularly impressed that one of the directors showed us around the property that we eventually bought and pointed out all the (minor) negative as well as the positive features of the property. He also gave us an excellent recommendation on an architect in Cambridge. Given the pressure of house purchasing in Cambridge these days RAH went out of their way to help us and to ensure that we got a property that really suited us.

We rented a house through RAH and overall the experience was very positive. Initially, Alison went the extra mile in securing the house for us, organising a meeting between us and the owners so that we could talk through what they wanted from tenants.
Talitha managed the property, and during the tenancy there were very few problems, the odd problem being sorted in not too long at all. They dropped the ball once or twice, e.g. in not passing on to us the message that the owners were moving back after a year, which we found out because I enquired. But this was a minor point that wasn't an inconvenience as we still found out a long time before the tenancy ended.
And after the tenancy, Talitha kept in constant contact with us and with the owners over minor issues over the deposit, liaising between us and keeping us up to date. Payments were returned as soon as possible given the slight delay while an agreement was reached.
Overall, then, highly recommended, and a really refreshing change from so many other letting agencies.

I found the whole team to be excellent to deal with. Professional, go the extra mile and work hard. We sold quickly and found the team to be excellent through out. I tried to sell a property through Redmayne Arnold & Harris.
A total waste of time they promise a lot then fail to deliver and always try to get you to reduce the price you want and blame you for the lack of viewings as the price is too high.
They fail to fulfil and then dump you when you have the gaul to complain.
Not the attitude you would expect from a so called renowned Estate Agent .
