Ben Haymes acted as our estate agent for our house sale in September. We had previously used another estate agent who let us down from start to finish. Ben was a different class all together. The photos that he took really showed our house to it's full potential. His knowledge showed through right from the first conversation I had with him, and secured a sale of our property in a very short space of time. Because we had previously been let down by our other estate agent, I was a very nervous seller. Ben was exceptionally good at putting my mind at ease. Every conversation I had with him left me feeling like the most important person on his client list, and left me reassured. If I were to ever move again I wouldn't hesitate to use Ben again.

I was a first time buyer so I had very little understanding of the purchasing process. The sale was far from simple due to some complexities surrounding the property itself but Jenny Luddington worked exceptionally hard to ensure that the sale progressed as quickly as possible and continued to work hard for both myself and the vendor throughout the lengthy process.
I would willingly recommend the agency for a full, start to finish experience and thank them for all the assistance they gave to me.

Fantastic service from Ben throughout. I originally purchased this property through Ben which is why I wanted to use him when I came to sell. Then a follow up call again turned into a unpleasant exchange of why we had chosen another agent, which to be quite frank was my choice and had nothing to do with them.

Where to start..... The house we rented was rubbish, that wasn't entirely their fault. But the kitchen the cooker hadn't been anchored into the fitted kitchen, incredibly dangerous. Despite multiple times reporting the problems the leaking shower, they were uncommunicative and seemed not to care that a room of our house was out of bounds. So we decided to move on. On leaving they claimed we had not steam cleaned the carpet even though we personally handed them the invoice from the company that we paid £120 to do it. They claimed the kitchen was not clean even though we had spent 6 hours cleaning and polishing. To which they insisted on charging for their own cleaner. Finally there was the additional fee that was levied on vacating the property, which is never highlighted at any point in the process. This means that no person, ever, can get the deposit back that they paid across. And when asked for the reasons for this fee they said "Other agents do the same". This is not true, all other agents (3 of them) have never done this. Avoid at all costs.

A Boiler not working, or no working Oven in the property (a legal requirement) is not considered a problem. It took nearly a month to get a replacement Oven (Peter Lane's comment - don't you have a Microwave?). The back door of the property is rotted away and Peter Lane can't be bothered to fix it, despite it now been unlockable.
I would strongly suggest that anybody who is considering renting from Peter Lane thinks again. You will never come across ruder, less interested and dishonest staff.

We have recently used Peter Lane and Partners to sell our property and are very happy with the service and results.
Their contract of 8 weeks was short enough and the commission rate was also to be kept the same if we decided to move to multi-agency at the end of the contract term.
We received a good number of viewings and although we lost our first buyer they were supportive and reassuring. This helped as we had found, had an offer accepted, and were already moving forward with the purchase on a property we had found. They found 3 new interested parties within 2 weeks and the sale is now progressing again with minimal fuss and delay.
We felt that we could call Colin whenever we needed any advice, either with the selling or the buying aspect of the process.
In short, great service and great advice!!
