The process of applying for the flat went smoothly, and the agency had no problem using a deposit scheme instead of rent in lieu. Right from the day I rented out their apartment till I had to leave it 15 months later it has been a great journey. With their quick turn around time for any issues and trying hard to resolve any query/concern asap it was such a pleasure being with them. They are one of those rare Agents who think for the tenants as well as the land lords.

I would highly recommend anyone traveling to UK trying for O'Neill first and then moving on to other letting agents if O'Neill does not have anything to offer. Lucy, Lyndsey, David and Jacky are the ones who had supported me during my tenancy.

O'Neill, the property agent I strongly recommend
I have rent a flat for 15 months. During my stay, there were problems with the fan in the toilet, stove, and dishwasher, water leaking from the ceiling (a washing machine is placed in the cupboard in the flat upstairs). Every time I report problems to ONeill, I got a quick response. And non-working devices are replaced / problems are solved immediately.
Later I need to rent a flat and I deal with several property agents. Some are working so slow that I receive their reply after 20 days! One agent is not professional that I was asked the question "what is the brand of your car", to make sure if I am able to afford the rent. It was bad experiences dealing with these agents, which makes me impatient or angry.
I think a good property agent can always provide good service to customers and knows how to communicate with the landlord (about tenants' requirements, etc). I am satisfied with the service of O'Neill and I will contact O'Neill again when I need to rent or buy a flat in the future.

We've been impressed with the speed of them replacing things that had broken (and good quality replacements at that). They have also been great at organising repairs etc and managing the handover of keys to contractors when necessary - this meant we didn't have to stay off work and was very helpful.

When we were getting ready to move out we asked if they had anyone they recommended to do the cleaning. They were very helpful with suggestions, and these were good suggestions (and not expensive).
We had no issues whatsoever getting any money due to us back.
5 star service.
We usually dealt with Lindsey and Lucy, though have over the years dealt with all of them.

Loved working with O'Neill. This was the first flat I've ever rented in the UK, specifically in Edinburgh, which is a very competitive market. I asked for advise to many friends and all of them had horrible experiences, didn't get deposits back, flats were not in good condition when moved in.
I had the best experience ever with O'Neill, they offered me a student-friendly flat, which was located very near Haymarket. Every time something was broken, they sent immediately someone to repair it. After many months working with them and paying my rent on time, I had a gap of 2-3 days between my payday (from my employer) and my rent-paying day. I asked Lucy (head of payments) if it would be possible to be delayed a couple of days, and they kindly accepted. Which surprised me, a lot! Didn't expect that kindness/generosity.
When I told them I was moving, they said it was ok, and they said David (the head of maintenance) would come one week in advance to see the flat and tell me how I should leave the flat in order to get my deposit back. David was amazing, showed me everything, explained to me in detail how to leave the flat. I did it, I can happily say I got my deposit back 100%.
Btw, I moved because I needed a bigger flat, but definitely I miss working with them. When you are new in a country is very important to find rightful agents, like O'Neill. Thank you, guys!! Thanks to Lucy, Lindsey, David, John, and Jackie... which are all the persons I've been in touch in these 18 months living there! Thank you!

I stayed in a flat let by O'Neil for a year and a half. First they helped me with a very tricky previous letting agent and sorted everything so I didn't need to worry. Their staff are professional but still have a friendly rapport with customers. When I had minor issues in the flat they were sorted very quickly. Do not hesitate to rent with this company. I only left the previous property to move outside of Edinburgh, where unfortunately they do not have any properties.

I had some major problems with leaking over a winter period but was sorted ( not nice )
But they got it sorted and a lot of work to get it fixed ..

I've stayed at the property managed by O'Neills team for almost two years and it was a good experience. I've moved into a nicely cleaned flat and got all the help from the agency required. During the stay, O'Neills were very responsive and quick. All the issues were sorted in the matter of days, regular safety check were also organised. Unfortunately, I needed to move out, however I would happily continue staying with the agency. Highly recommended property managers.
