First review written on line so please forgive if not what you want. Richard Shelmerdine started selling our Aunt's house in September following her death beginning of August. The sale completed on 18 December. At this difficult time and throughout Richard was caring, sensitive to our feelings and kept us fully up to date with the very many viewings (the majority of which he accompanied the prospective purchasers). He went over and above of what we expected of him, understood our concerns about the property being empty - we live 1.5 hours away -, especially with winter approaching and always offered to check the property over if it was needed. He helped us out considerably along the way and we will; always be eternally grateful to him and feel very lucky he was the Estate Agent looking after us. Jackie Wayman and other staff members phoned us many times with up to date information and nothing was too much trouble, always very approachable and very kind. Thank you very much to Meller Braggins for helping us through this difficult time. Perhaps they would like to move to our area when we sell our house! Very well deserved praise!

The road to buying a house is rarely a smooth one but we had a particularly bumpy ride. We dealt with a vendor who wouldn't sell, then another one who would but was taking too long, then our own buyers pulled out days before we were due to exchange - we haven't had it easy.
And then we found the perfect house. We didn't know it was the perfect house straight away, so we came back. And again. And again (this time with builders). Nothing was too much trouble - Andrew was there each time, a reassuring presence. Throughout the transaction, I made sure I always kept him and Jackie appraised of where we were at. And conversely, they always replied to my (many) queries quickly, professionally and efficiently. 5 stars service!

It's stressful selling a home and everyone we had contact with at Meller Braggins helped to lessen the stress and boost our confidence during the whole process. They were all great at keeping us informed every step of the way. They understood that even when nothing's happening it's good to know they're still there and working on your behalf. They were always ready to listen to us, to be helpful and advise us in a professional but sincerely friendly and concerned way. We felt part of the team working to sell our house in a difficult market. We felt we were in safe hands and felt confident in their advice and guidance. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they always seemed to have time for us. Not only that, but every person in the team seemed to know us and our property. We felt this was more than a business transaction - it felt like we were part of mutual relationship with all of us committed to a positive result. We shan't forget any one of the Meller Braggins team and will recommend them very highly and remember them fondly.

Weichert Workforce Mobility instructed Meller Braggins back in November 2013 to sell a vacant property acquired within an Employer Relocation scheme. At all times Andrew / Sharon and Jackie kept my team fully informed and supported us regularly with survey and maintenance issues throughout the marketing and eventual transaction. Despite 2 abortive sales - through no fault of the Agents - Andrew and his team never faltered in their effots to secure a new purchaser. Andrew and his team were attentative and honest - even when they had "bad news" for me, and always had a solution. The whole team's tenacity and committment was constant - which is why we completed on the sale in late September and stuck with Meller Braggins throughout. I am an ex Central London Agent with 20 years experience and would be happy to recommend Andrew and his fantastic Team - and would re-intruct tomorrow should the need arise.

We cannot recommend Mellor Braggins Macclesfield enough.
We used them for our sale and bought our new property through them.
Through-out our year of searching for a house to buy they kept in touch and informed us of any properties which may actually have been of interest to us rather than sending through endless automated adverts like other estate agents.
Once we found the property we wanted to buy they helped us secure a deal we were comfortable with and shortly after found us a buyer for our house. They managed the whole process from start to finish, keeping us updated and pushing on solicitors who sought to delay the process.
A more friendly, helpful and professional estate agents you could not hope to find.

Throughout the sale they balanced being proactive when necessary to keep things moving on, without ever feeling like they were herding us along to get their commission.
I do have a gripe with the industry as a whole in that the agents charge more than the solicitors, and an extremely high amount, which seems less and less good value with sites such as Rightmove. However, as far as estate Agents go, they were very professional and nice people to deal with!

We received great service from the staff at Mellor Braggins. We had two properties to sell, one business and one residential. Although it took a little while, the two sale went ahead smoothly.
