We viewed a flat in a popular area which was in a bad state upon viewing, but were told it was going to be cleaned, repainted, and have new carpets laid in. Upon hearing this, we agreed to let the flat as it was a nice place if fixed up. However, when we arrived almost two weeks ago it was as if very little had been done. There was an empty bottle and trash in the kitchen with dead slugs on it, the bathroom was mouldy, the carpets were still ripped, the subfloor has holes in it, the vinyl is raised and ripped, the furniture was covered in mould, and the back garden was filled with broken glass, metal, and big pieces of rubbish.
Mead has since cleaned the trash inside and out and repainted a room. However, we had to do major cleaning the first week and now they're stating that the replacement of the flooring was never discussed. If anyone does use this agency, please get everything in writing and on voice recording so that they can't go back on their promises. Also, the landlord that we have has over 200 properties, so he is incredible lazy and cheap. I would highly recommend finding a different agency with a better reputation.

This is the worst agency you can rent. Be away from them. They dont fix the things and just want rent...
