Constantly tried to raise our rent. Checking out of the tenancy was very stressful as extra fees appeared out of nowhere, our deposit had to be fought for through DPS dispute resolution and even though we left the property in very good order were treated poorly. After paying hundreds of pounds in admin fees before being allowed to continue with setting up a contract, we only saw a scanned copy of our rental contract after we moved out A YEAR LATER, despite repeatedly asking for a copy, and only after threatening to withhold the checkout fee. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
