Terrible experience - going with Letters was the worse decision we ever made. The agent does not communicate well at all (3/4 people in the agency), which caused several problems during the 14 months tenancy and while we trusted them, we discovered once the tenancy reached an end how wrong we were: the tenants that had supposedly been vetted and had been regularly inspected left the house dirty (including black mould on windows and a lot of rubbish in the freezer), the gardens really not maintained, they removed cupboards without asking and left the walls damaged, requiring quite a bit of work. They also left about a van-load worth of junk in the loft and many empty beer bottles in the garden to top it up - the list could go on much longer! Letters carried out the final inspection and cleared it as fine - releasing the deposit. Contacting them has only proven how little they care (they have taken their commission so don't care about our contract with them) - the whole attitude is that it's our fault for not actually carry out the final inspection ourselves (why did we pay them for then?). IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO RENT YOUR HOUSE OUT, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
