- Wandsworth Branch!
So much to say here, I could write an essay and name names! Suffice it to say. "Old fashioned values" they said they have (the one in charge) HA! To include. Repeatedly ignoring emails of concern or later complaint to the one in charge. Who did not answer a single question or make any attempt at addressing my concerns whatsoever! 10 weeks of absolutely nothing. Agent actively making sure the listing tanked. The incompetence was astounding. Galling rudeness toward the vendors home and furnishings, that I can only describe as completely unacceptable and grossly inappropriate. And then if that wasn't bad enough...
Being presented with a wine gift box that was beaten up and looked like it had been kicking around and seen better days. With a corkscrew inside and two screw cap bottles! One white "fizzy" wine and a red that can only be described as "vinegar" Both of which went straight down the sink. A corker! NOT! Steer clear... These guys are not "a fine bouquet"

The Wandsworth branch of John D Wood makes Fawlty Towers look like a well-run and organised establishment. Their inability to do even the most basic elements of their job would be hysterically funny if you were not the one to bear the brunt of their incompetence.
From the moment I moved in as a tenant to when landlord sold the house, any interaction with John D Wood was a stressful, frustrating and confusing experience, mainly because of their absence of communications.
They treated us tenants as though we were pests and an annoying inconvenience. Their bias towards our landlord was obvious, and we were lucky that we had a good relationship with him that CCing him into our communications with John D Wood would lead to a solution to whatever we were trying to sort out.
However, they surpassed themselves in incompetency when our landlord sold our house.
From turning up on the fly with viewers and no notice and still trying to conduct a viewing to booking in viewings on times and days that we told them multiple times we couldn't accommodate, John D Wood ran the gamut.
I came home early from work one day to find viewers ALONE IN THE HOUSE who said that the agent had "just left". Said agent also insisted that we allow the eventual buyers bring their family around on a day to view that we had said multiple times that we could not accommodate and making a viewing appointment and not turning up to the viewing, leaving me to deal with the frustrated would-be viewers.
But a standout communication from this agent was when we emailed our concerns about potentially not being able to move should a national lockdown occur and being told that we were "being unnecessarily hysterical" and being "ensnared by media speculation". Upon that, we decided to leave sooner than we had planned, which turned out to be a couple of days before the March lockdown happened.
There is also no internal communication between agents and a lot of buck-passing from what I can gather.
TL;DR John D Wood's agents are incompetent, conduct themselves with an unearned arrogance, aggressive and dismissive to tenants, will not reply to communications from tenants (but will harass tenants almost hourly if they want something done "ASAP"). Avoid at all costs if you are looking to rent, and be wary if you are a landlord/looking to sell.

John D Wood in Wandsworth, and more specifically Shae Preece, epitomise every worse trait of estate agents. They incited panic in the chain where there was none, they downright lied on many occasions, they pestered all sides incessantly when it wasn't necessary, and when it suited them ignored all correspondence. Despite having no qualifications, they believed they were experts in surveying, conveyancing law and mortgages as unbelievably they looked to correct experts in these fields. They will do their best to ruin any house sale or purchase. Avoid John D Wood at all costs.

Advise any landlord you can, given the chance, that these are the worst estate agents for rental in the universe. We didn't hear from the for 3 years, only when they charged £100 for renewing our contracts (essentially theft). They issued us with an out of data check-in report when we arrived and then made us pay £150 for one when we left. They brought people to our flat without telling us. They charged us £300 to have a clean that they had previously said wasnt necessary. They are not professional and ought to be stripped of whatever entitlement or registration is required to conduct business as a letting agent. John D Wood, you are awful without exception.
