We were obliged to use this company having bought our flat through Knight Knox. They were and still are the most frustrating company to deal with from start to finish.

We were obliged to use this company having bought our flat through Knight Knox. They were and still are the most frustrating company to deal with from start to finish.
Once our apartment was finished and available to rent, I couldn't get anyone to respond to me about a rental, the price it could be rented at or anything. Then they responded and said someone was moving in, but close to the time when they were supposed to be moving in I emailed over and over to find out that tenant had fallen through. Then they finally found someone at a much lower rent than we were told we we would get when we bought into the new development for only 9 months. I had to contact them the day before this lease was up if the tenant was extending because i hadn't heard anything from them. The head of management of lettings, Hope McKendrick, told me that the tenant was staying on, when the day before I had spoken to Alexander at their Ikeston branch who told me the tenant had left in March due to Covid19 and wasn't coming back. When I informed Hope of this she told me that they would be keeping the deposit of one and a half months rent since it was in the contract that the tenant had to give one month's notice. Then they took a week to inspect our apartment to view the condition. Thankfully the tenant had left it in good condition. When I asked Hope about the deposit she said it could take over 6 months to send to me because they had to wait to make sure the tenant wasn't going to dispute this (I'm sure it's because they hope I'll forget and they'll just keep the deposit for their company).
I am still trying to get our full set of keys the developer gave them. All this frustration in less than one year! STAY FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS LETTING AGENT. I will be complaining to Knight Knox as well as this terrible letting agency.
