Unfortunately fell short of what I would expect from a letting agent. They are nothing more than expensive messengers when you need action. Unfortunately fell short of what I would expect from a letting agent. They are nothing more than expensive messengers when you need action. Only really acting as a go between rather than actually sorting problems effectively . Failed to provide any quotes for remedial work , failed to check out a property correctly , did not provide any meter readings and subsequently don't know the name of the utility company.

Arranged to view a property, was given appointment time. Arrived to find Agent locking up the property after earlier viewing. She hadn't been told of appointment and seemed surprised. She had only Front Door Key so was unable to access rear of the property or view the outside or the Garage ... Read Full Review

She had only Front Door Key so was unable to access rear of the property or view the outside or the Garage where Central Heating Boiler was. Property was listed as Detatched but was Link Detatched. Very Unprofessional. I wouldn't use this Agent to sell my property.

I would never use them again. 5 years of student rent and two post-university. The last of which was with them. Currently debating legal action. Had verbal agreement to end contract early (get in writing!) gave notice before purchasing, and even took time off work to help find new tenants. Sadly no tenant until 20 days after leaving so forced to pay rent. £1000 bond lost on rent, and power washing/weeding driveway (even though rear and side of house had been power washed including conservatory roof). Spent an entire weekend with four people cleaning the house, it was probably cleaner than when moving in! Only to loose my bond and to be asked for additional monies as with the power washing and rent it was more than the bond. I was only informed of this when enquiring about the bond, no prior communication or receipt. Never did pay the additional money and have heard nothing since, so I presume the company must know that they are in the wrong...Also had a had bill directed to me for the void period after leaving for £53, funny since I took a meter reading before locking up and handing keys back (with gas off). This has for now been redirected... Look at their ratings, I am not the only person disgusted by the company. It is a hard business, and lots of tenants have bad experiences but in seven years this was my worst! Glad I've bought now, but would never rent again through them!

Initially they were very attentive and turned around the details pretty quickly, although they were full of innaccuracies which took some time to get changed. What agent could do to change your mind?
They need to remember that customers are potentially going to pay them a lot of money and need to appear to be at least trying to earn it. When a vendor hears nothing from them for months it does not lead you to feel that they are working hard on your behalf. Also, the telephone manner of their staff needs improvement - I called up pretending to be a customer interested in my house and was given incorrect information and then promised a callback which never materialised.
