I have had bad service from this Letting Agent since I took possession of the property which I rent through them - the main one being having to chase them to do things which they said (confirmed by email) they would do but then do not do, like reading an electric meter (which is located in a part of the building which is not freely accessible to me) once a month! And speaking of the electric meter - when they provided me with the inventory and photographs of the meter readings they could not even identify the difference between a gas meter and the electric meter and attributed the readings to the incorrect meters! The final straw that has led me to leaving this review is that Simon (main Partner of the business) has treated me discourteously twice now by not replying to an email sent a few days ago and then, today, not replying to a phone call I made to his office (where a colleague of his said they would get him to phone me back today). Simon also promised to reimburse money to me for another error they had made (confirmed to me in an email) and I am still awaiting the money nearly two and a half months later! All of this is a great shame because some of the other staff have been helpful and pleasant to deal with for the other problems I have had since moving in to my new home.
Update - 5th June 2021 - I phoned the letting agent office and managed to speak with Simon directly. Received an excuse, but not an apology, for his not returning my previous phone call nor reply to my earlier email and then he admitted that he had forgotten about the money to be refunded to me. Our conversation was polite and courteous and ended with him stating that he would deal with getting me the required meter reading and the owed money to me asap. I am now happy to report that Simon personally hand delivered the money which I was owed and has also now provided me with the meter reading. I am of course now hoping that things will go much more smoothly in the months to come but still feel that it is a shame that any and all of the above occurred in the first place.
