A great team all round, and a real contrast with other estate and lettings agents I've experienced! We have rented through Frost's and have now also bought a house through them. The lettings team - especially our property manager Melanie - have been very helpful, clear and throughout, with none of the heavy-handedness, spurious fees or dodgy lease clauses I've encountered elsewhere. And the sales team - we've spoken with Tom, Daniela and the progressor Sarah - have been a pleasure to deal with. They have been very proactive throughout the process and ensured that we have had all the viewings and information we might want. They made us feel that they are as happy for us - and pleased to help - as for the sellers. I'd definitely use them myself and recommend them to others.

Frosts have done sterling job in portraying my property in a positive light following image n marketing damage by two other estate agents. They have done this by listening and acting upon feed back throughout the selling period. I have been treated magnificently through their courtesy, consideration, respectful and professional demeanour of all the staff. Daniella was one of the first members of staff to show my home off to potential buyers and her energy and enthusiasm was impressive and was pleased to discover she was instrumental in the sale deal struck. Overall Frosts have been a pleasure to do business with without the hard sell on products I neither need or have asked for. All the best for the future team Frosts.

I dont often leave reviews but i decided to on this occasion. We completed on our puchase in December and Frosts were excellent throughout the whole process. I found the the two people i had most dealings with (Jake and Sarah) to be extremely professional and helpful. Ive dealt with many estate agents over the years and I thought Frosts were up there with the best. I would not hesitate to use their services over other estate agents in St Albans.

Once the 'sales' guy get you to sign the contract, they don't bother to assist you with anything.
Brochure photos? I can do better. House showings? The staff who appeared did not do anything to promote, didn't arrive beforehand to understand the property, in fact we as owners took the potential buyers through the house in the end. Talk about doing their job. So somehow we agreed to buy a property also sold by Frost and that is when the real nightmare began.
We had Sarah assigned, did not bother to update both of us, only my husband. Was terribly reactive to the point and explain to her that I was extremely disappointed that I was doing her job. She then was only slightly better at chasing statuses on the property sell (we were in the middle of the chain).
The conveyancer they recommend? Stay far away from that. Slow and utterly useless.
Lots of to and fros to the day we were exchanging, Frosts was appalling in customer service. We had to move by 12, we told Frost that, we told the conveyancing company that, all was to go smooth but it wasn't the case. The conveyancing company was so terrible that they did not bother to ring, we had to keep chasing. When the sale went through, Frosts couldn't come to drop the keys until an hour later (mind you this was already 3pm by then).
Before we got the keys, I spoke to this other guy whom unfortunately or maybe luckily that I can't remember his name, but he was terribly awful to me on the phone and in fact said I was lying when I told him about two matters that I was unhappy about. I was so shocked to be accused of lying, what kind of customer service is that?!
I then spoke to his 'manager' apparently but he sided his colleague despite admitting it was not the best way to speak to the customer.
Since we had the keys? No contact whatsoever. No after sales service of a courtesy call. We even had to chase them to take away the sign.
We had two local friends recently went with William H Brown and the service seems to way better and both my friends have been pleased.
For us it was the total opposite with Frosts. Stressful, time consuming, zero customer service after they have hour money. Don't bother to use them, you have been warned!

In mid-February this year, we decided to sell our family home, along with my mother's home and make a joint purchase for the whole family. We contacted Frosts estate agent and John Sullivan arranged to do an evaluation on mums property in St Albans. He reassured us of Frost's abilities and professionalism and as such, we requested that John also evaluated our property in Markyate.
Our houses were put on the market mid-April (the delay was only due to us being sure that we wanted to go ahead and sell) and we both held successful open days – finding buyers on both properties.
The team at Frost estate agents (Harpenden and St Albans) were accessible at all times and extremely helpful ensuring that we understood the buying/selling process. Dan Kirk at the St Albans branch was professional and informative at all stages – from initial valuation, right through to completion. He was also able to offer reassurance when we encountered unforeseen events (such as one of the sales temporarily falling though, and problems arising from the conveyancing). He offered a very personal service and definitely seemed to care that everything was going to plan.
Our sales progressor, Stephen Key was also instrumental in ensuring everything went to plan and was always well informed as to the status of both properties and their respective chains.
We also used Frosts financial advisor, David Tatnall as recommended by Frosts and had no regrets doing so. David was professional and patient at every stage of the process and always found a way around potential loopholes that arose due our circumstances (self-employment, gifted deposits and so on). We cannot commend David highly enough as he always made us feel that nothing was too much trouble for him.
Our overall experience with Frosts Estate agent has been extremely positive and we would not hesitate to either use them again in the future, or recommend them to friends and family.

On another occasion we made a viewing and were told en-route that they would be rearranging the viewing for a Saturday 'as its more convenient' for them. Of the 3 properties we did view, one woman was nice and polite, another turned up late then didn't have a clue what she was talking about and the same woman at the final property gave the impression she didn't want to be there.

If I could give this company a '0' star rating I happily would. We actually considering taking one place that these guys were offering, but upon reviewing their fees we thought twice (just under £700 for two people).
There are plenty of other estate agents in St. Albans, and I would much rather trust them with my money than this bunch of crooks.
