stay clear of this agent, both buyers and sellers! waste of time and money!!!
a past negative buying experience with field palmer Southampton - demonstrated documents/proof of ID and fund in their Shirley branch Southampton, this estate agent (Kieran Smith, Senior Negotiator) seems enjoy unrecorded verbal blablabla but dodge our email communications very much and became very rude and slow once they were reluctant to answer enquiry in email. Eventually they refuse to put it off the market although after offer accepted with our validated offer with unknown reason and ignored our email enquiry of other questions in the meantime , therefore we complained as this did not proof as sale agreed and we could not proceed with with unanswered email enquiry too . They also refuse to provide their internal complaint method. They maybe passed the deal to their own buyers at a lower price while keeping the vendor unwary of the underhand, who knows, or some other dodgy operation against the vendor even. Less than a month later, the property had to be re-marketed at their website, with a asking price 1.8% lower than our "accepted" offer price, and they still refuse to communicate with us to resume the sale to us. eventually, we checked land registry, it got sold at 8.8% lower than our previous accepted offer price! bear in mind, it's a relatively new build, with very less odds of emerging issues with survey for discount. I feel very sad for the vendor being messed up and blinded with this agents whatever underhands and bear the lost.
!!Not recommended and stay clear of this agent, both buyers and sellers!!

Amazed to see this company is still trading. They were, incompetent, dishonest and broke every promise they made. They did not comply with a single one of my instructions, failed to notify me of visits, could not operate the simple burglar alarm and made totally inappropriate offers to a firm buyer without consulting me first, which lost the sale. Their negotiation skills were non-existent. When I complained the manager of the chain was incredibly rude and cancelled the contract, for which I was eternally grateful, but refused to return the key! This is a bad bad company even for an estate agent - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The house sold less than 2 weeks later for a much higher price with another agent.
