Selling a home can be very stressful more so when you live in another country and rely solely on the agents. Trying to decide who to use to sell my house was a long drawn out process. However during this time there was one constant and that was a lovely lady Jo Green from the Dorking branch of Cubitt & West. During the course of maybe 6 months she periodically called just to let us know she was here if needed and she never pushed any agenda. She made me feel like she was there just for me and it was really appreciated. In fact she was the main reason why I eventually decided that Cubitt & West were the agents to deal with my sale. I briefly flew to the UK and met Jo in person and within minutes I knew she was the right lady for the sale. The sale was quite a lengthy procedure with several dates given to me along the way however, Jo told me at the outset how long the sale would take and she was correct. Jo you have my respect and thanks but I would also like to mention Carole Fraser-Eighteen, Juliana Dennis and Scott Buchanan. There was nothing these guys would not do to help or just be a voice on the end of the phone. Thank you very much indeed. I would highly recommend Cubitt and West, Dorking and also the I Am Sold auction system. Thank you to Alexandra Young and Sadie Married Pitts. Great service.

We were very impressed with our first contact with Cubitt & West. Rebecca did a great job selling their services and the fee of 1.8% inc vat seemed reasonable for what was being offered............sadly the dream was not the reality. We were very impressed with our first contact with Cubitt & West. Rebecca did a great job selling their services and the fee of 1.8% inc vat seemed reasonable for what was being offered............sadly the dream was not the reality. Over 20 weeks of marketing activity with the house advertised at the price they suggested with only 5 viewings. We have dealt with seven different members of staff and the general level of interest / enthusiasm was pretty poor. 'Open Days' were the way forward apparently but you have to wait two days for feedback which is only delivered on the website, never a follow up phone call after the viewings to at least give an early indication. We suspect a couple of the people did not even exist and were just used to try and prove that they were doing a good job. If you are going to charge high fees then at least try to earn your cash and if you don't have any buyers then be honest and do not create unrealistic expectations although I suspect this is probably true of most Estate Agents. The overall impression is that Cubitt & West like to offer the world but sales are only going to happen if you SIGNIFICANTLY reduce your original asking price.

Anne-Marie and Damien were also involved and deserve mention.
I had some nightmare stories of Agents.....this team were a breath if fresh air. They also put up with my grumps and moans in good part.

In dealing with them both I found they were knowledgeable about all matters related to the sale and nothing seemed too much trouble and I have no reservations in recommending Cubitt and West to anybody thinking about a purchase in the Dorking area. Well done!

This agency were so awful, they told us that people couldn't be bothered to tidy up their houses for us to see them unless we were under offer. Friends of ours also tried to view property through them and were given the third degree about their finances, they were so taken aback by their rudeness they did not pursue viewings with them. I feel very sorry for people selling through them.
