Suggest to stay well away from this agent, dealt with them for first time today to view a property today. When raised my disappointment in them not mailing me and chasing them. I was told I was rude , this is a unnecessary response from my side in raising my disappointment. When asked for the branch manager, was told by Ian Jordan that he is the manager, which looking at their website...he is not... Not dealing with the agent again. @cromwell agents mgmt in the area, if this is how Cromwell trains and hires sales personnel dealing with customers/clients (you decide yourself, mail screenshot attached)...Hope someone fixes Ian's customer service attitude? All the best.

I was very impressed by Cromwells when they carried out a house valuation for me a couple of years ago, and they were therefore my first choice of estate agent when my mother went into a care home and it became necessary to sell her house. In practice, though, their service in selling my mother's house was so outstanding that it exceeded all my previous expectations. I went into the Carshalton Beeches branch on a Wednesday. They were on the case instantly with friendly professionalism: they visited the property the same day and on Thursday there was an impressive entry on Rightmore. On Saturday there were seven viewings and by Monday there were two offers. We accepted the higher of these, which was an excellent price for my mother's house. We used Cromwells' inclusive legal package and we even got the house cleared using a firm on their recommendation. The whole process has been hassle-free and we now have an early completion date. I would not use anyone but Cromwells in future when I need an estate agent.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The price they achieved more than covered their fee. I spoke to a neighbour selling their property who were also using Cromwells and they gave excellent feedback too.

We were unfamiliar with the open day approach not having sold a property in the last two decades and neither of my siblings live in this area. I dealt with both and they were excellent. Gave me sound advise on valuation of our flat and advertised it promptly we sold our flat overnight. Justin went extra mile working out of ours to get this done. He was very professional, precise and very friendly at the same time. Excellent customer services, he was at the end of the phone all the time I called or he could come back immediately. I wouldn't have asked for more. To sum it up to one sentence he is one in a million estate agents. He is professional, polite, patient, wise and intelligent. He was able to make quick, helpful and accurate decisions.

we put an offer in on a property, which was accepted and we went through the conveyancing process.
Cromwells decided to put a moving date forward before contracts were signed and it scared off our buyer. We found another buyer and the process started again. They then told us we had 6 weeks to complete!! We had finished answering our buyers solicitors question which took 10 weeks we then had another 3 weeks before we exchanged and completed which was guided by our solicitors, and cromwells decided to convince our purchasers to relist the property as they deemed it going on to long, Apparently they could get them cash buyers which would go through quicker!!!! we subsequently lost our 2nd buyer because of this. The property still stands empty after 12 weeks and remains under offer with the new cash buyers. What a waste of everyones time. Would never use them again and not quite sure what they are trying to achieve unless they get money to keep listing property. The staff need to be retrained, completely unprofessional and dont seem to know much about mortgages and fees. STOP mucking around with peoples lives,

We recently bought through Cromwells in Carshalton Beeches. The end to end service was truly excellent. We found ourselves in the middle of a long and messy chain. Teresa actively managed the chain in a very professional way. All calls were reurned very quickly and Cromwells were very quick to push enquiries up the chain. What agent could do to change your mind?
this agent should first and foremost train their staff in customer service. They should confirm bookings, turn up to bookings and do their best to service the requests of their customers. Rudeness is unacceptable under any circumstances.

As a buyer looking at a property, this agent is the only one I know of that does not confirm viewings via e-mail or text. That possibly explains why they messed up the first viewing to one of their properties. The agent failed to turn up to the first viewing. After a lot of hard work we managed to get the agent to rearrange a viewing for us three hours later that day. Of course the agent wasn't available as they didn't' have the staff, as such the owner had to take the viewing. An inconvenience for both the owner and us. After all there is nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon than waiting to view a house because the agent couldn't make it but didn't think it was relevant to let you know.
After a viewing with the very accommodating and likable owners my wife and concluded that we liked the house wanted to view it again with just the agent present. We wanted to do this in order to have frank and open discussions about the property. We asked the agent to arrange this, not an unusual request we assumed, but clearly a stretch for this agent.
On arriving at the second viewing, we called the agent to inquire about their whereabouts. Only at this point did the agent deem it appropriate to say that they couldn't make it and that the second viewing would again be with the owners, despite our expressed request to have an agent present. We made the point that that wasn't what we wanted and that we had requested a viewing with an agent. To which the response was to tell us that we can take it or leave it. Again we have nothing better to do than hang around on a Saturday afternoon at the mercy of an estate agent. In response to our request that the agent rearranges for later that day the agent declined saying they were too busy and that this was not an option. After a short debate about the service he was providing he then hung up on us!
Is this acceptable. Is this what an owner will pay £5-10K for? If we were to buy the house would I want my money going to this agent's commission? NO, absolutely not!
We were therefore left with no option but to go and repeat our earlier viewing, after all if we were interested in the property, as we were, we didn't want to mess the owners around. We felt almost forced into the viewing.
At a point where the traditional estate agency business is coming under threat from internet based agencies it would be fair to assume that the only real advantage the traditional service has over the internet is ‘service'. In my experience this agent does not have a service ethic, or the staffing levels able to fulfil it even if it had one. The service this agent offers is less than an internet based agency. My recommendation would be to go elsewhere. Do not use this agent if all possible. If you are a seller use the any other great agents around or save the money and use the internet.

Appalling unprofessional attitude - advertised property, and would only accept offers after open day. Despite being cash buyers said no earlier viewing being taken. A few days later advise us that the house is sold despite said open day having not occurred. One wonders why? They were clearly not acting in sellers best interests as allegedly no other offers allowed to be made and clearly no concern over the buyers. This is unscrupulous behaviour and should not be tolerated. I would avoid estate agents like this at all costs.

We put an offer on a house via this agent. It was completely refused and the agent said owner strictly asks for the asking price. We thought it was too much for that particular property so we gave up on that. When we wanted to see another house via same agent they treated us as if we were not a serious buyer and they told us we did not counteroffer with the previous property which clearly they told me the owner does not accept anything less than the asking price. I told them how could they classify us not serious while we have already put an offer and asking to see another one. And I told them that they are loosing a customer. The chap said they have a lot of customers and they don't need us. I told him that I am going to place a complaint about this attitude but he said he was the manager. Than I asked him who else I could talk to he again said no one else.. I will never use this agent again for buying or selling.. This branch is full of unprofessional and arrogant people.
