Terrible customer care. After visiting Taunton branch from Berkshire at end of December as looking to rent in area, staff were very helpful at time and I was told they’d keep me informed when properties came up from Jan. Details weren’t kept. Arranged to see a property some weeks ago, kept getting told they couldn’t get hold of tenants to arrange viewing. Eventually got a viewing then received a text day before to say it was let. Property advertised again on Monday and was told applicant didn’t go ahead and it’s a available. Arranged to view today. Rang Tuesday to check all ok for viewing. Travelled 2 hours to view today. No one from Connells turned up. Called them and told they’d left me a message to cancel as they’d let it! Couldn’t care less attitude and just kept saying they’d called me. When I asked what number they rang they hadn’t even rung the correct number! Not even an apology just the phone put down on me when I complained of the bad service.

Estate agents normally get a bad press so I am always open minded. However I cannot give the team especially Dominic who dealt with my purchase, enough credit. Me and my partner had a deadline to meet, so unfortunately Dominic got lots of hassle from me. He dealt with all parties professionally and with kindness to my plight, going above and beyond in my opinion to secure the moving date we required, otherwise we would have been left homeless. Connells are also selling my other property in Plymouth and again have kept me informed every step of the way. A big thank you to Dominic and the team for helping me complete on time, and always having the time to chase and make sure it happened and informing me every step of the way. Would highly recommend them.

We put an offer in on a house, our offer wasn't even put to the vendor for 24 hours. When I rang up to chase we were told only a branch partner can submit offers and he was out of the office. We put an offer in on a house, our offer wasn't even put to the vendor for 24 hours. When I rang up to chase we were told only a branch partner can submit offers and he was out of the office. We were also pressured into going with their internal mortgage adviser. When we were finally contacted about our offer we found the agent rude, incompetent and condescending. We were made to feel embarrassed of our offer and left in the dark for days at a time when we were trying to look at other properties. After our experience, numerous work colleagues and even mortgage advisers told me of similar experiences. STAY WELL CLEAR.

We negotiated a fair price and they worked hard for their commission.
We'd like to thank Tom Constable and Daniel Finberg for the proficient way their team managed our house sale in Taunton. The circumstances that prompted the sale were tragic and we were very keen to try and secure a quick sale but at a good price, which they managed to achieve. Initially we did invite two other Taunton agents to view the property - both of whom valued the property at a significantly lower price, albeit with lower commission rates. These agents told us that we needed a lower sale price in order to achieve a timely sale. We decided to go with Connells based on the confidence that Tom had in achieving a better price for the sale - in the end this amounted to in excess of £25,000 - and the fact that he thought that the house would sell quickly. In the end Connells found a buyer within 2 weeks. The team at Connells were available and efficient in dealing with requests and queries and the fact that the transaction was completed in just three and a half months is testament to their professionalism. We would have no hesitation in using Connells again and indeed would recommend them to others.
