Absolutely fantastic experience with Harry and Anthony (two extremely professional and courteous gentlemen) from Connells in Slough. My property sold quickly and For far more than I hoped; this company really knows what it is doing. I had previously read some negative feedback on the internet about Connells in general and was therefore sceptical. However, my experience of the Slough branch has been nothing short of sheer professionalism and expert knowledge within their field. I highly recommend the Slough branch; if you want your property sold quickly, without too much inconvenience nor time-wasters.

I registered with this agent to view properties...they were absolutely hopeless in contacting me with any information. I had to do continuous chase up regardless of my great position in terms of mortgage approval and also cash buyer. The name of the sales person above has moved on and I was assigned a new person when I phoned them up and it seems like I had to reregister who I was.... A totally hopeless customer service ethos. Then I went to view some flats they were undertaking as a complete development. And I put forward an offer which they told me I would need to underpin with a deposit which was non-refundable and two people were sat around me with a kind of bullish body language.... Trying to get me to sign. I just don't deal with cowboys like that and I hated every minute of the experience. Lucky to say I never heard from them again and that is the epitome of how they deal with people. Also I bought 2 buy to let properties from other agents in Slough with whom I had a better experience... In fact an experience I could not remotely compare and even now when I talk about my experience of this agent I give them as a unfavourable comparison, to the other lovely agents within the Slough area. Furthermore their office is not conducive to any positive experience it is tatty very tired dark and dingy.... I just cannot even think I would want to step in there again.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Better communication, being honest and showing some respect. To back up legal claims in writing. To have managing personnel in the same city as the properties they manage as opposed to having Chris based in the slough office and then queries being sent to me from some other office.

What a nightmare! We bought the property through the agent, which was a turbulent enough experience, but putting it down to the fact that it was a repossession gave them the benefit of the doubt and used them for managing the property....oh dear....the most annoying thing about the agent was the lack of communication and when there was communication it was inefficient, for example I would get an email from Sue who is sitting in the managing office (up north somewhere- she has no real clue about the property) but she would ask me to ring a security office to order a new fob for the property parking, yet, the security firm told me that my agent must ring them as I could be anyone off the street! And what exactly was I paying management fees for? if I have to do chasing up of things like that or even some final bill reminders from before the property was in my possession which I was totally unaware of- I thought the agent was supposed to contact all utilities. When the old tenant handed in his notice, I received no notification about any prospective tenant and fed up with the lack of communication rang up Chris to say I want to take my property off with Connells. Only to be told Connells have accepted a deposit and just got back reference checks?!!? Anyhow, frustrated with the agent I wanted to be rid of dealing with lettings there, so the final blow was being bullied into paying back the prospective tenants deposit (which was paid to Connells and I haven't received a penny of in my account) Chris said we were legally required to pay this. Due to a death in the family I just couldn't be bothered to chase this up or look into the legalities. One thing is certain, I will not be dealing with Slough branch of Connells for lettings! The lack of respect and customer care just proved I was nothing more then a cheque! I've since moved to a smaller independent agent and couldn't be happier! I think just because they have been in the industry for while doesn't mean you can totally trust them. I felt let down and out of pocket.

I am first time property buyer and the property I was buying through Connells Estate Agent in Slough. I started my paperwork on 28Feb12. At the time of starting paperwork they advised me to do your paper as early as possible, which I did. Connells (Ms Nadzada Gulmac) charge me extra fee to process my Mortgage even I could get my mortgage done myself but I was forced to process with Connells only, even they mention they got the same offer from some other person too, but because the person not processing mortgage with us, we do not want sell this property to him, and were blackmailed me too for the same. Total Amount Charged by Connells GBP 842.42.
My mortgage done on 23Mar12 by the bank.
I hired my Solicitors on 02Mar12 to start my paperwork and checks about the property. It cost me £1140. My paperwork finished by my Solicitors on 11Apr12. I signed Property Exchange Contract and gave the Advance payment Cheque on 12Apr12. All was done from my end on 12Apr12. During all this paper work I have asked many times Connells regarding the property missing information, but all the time they were fail to give me those information even I emailed them. This was the service I was getting all the way in this period.

***Till today I did not get reply of above Questions by the Connells***.
Now on 16Apr12. Connells they are calling me to inform me, they got a higher offer and you have to increase your offer or we have to sell next party. Now I want at least bring this information to all of the relevant Government department what are The Estate Agents polices. Watchdog Department should investigate with the Estate agents how they are robbing people.
1st of all if they do not have information about the property, why the sell them, they are trying to Robe the innocent people and with one property they make commissions of 10 time and blackmail people.
It was very hard to earn all of the above money and they got for nothing and left me empty handed. Now at least I cannot think to buy a property for more two years.
