Connells bullied me into using them after I was perfectly happy with Lex Allan. What a mistake! Connells have been much more expensive and have found me the worst tenant I've ever had. On top of that, they have arranged for a decorator to repaint the apartment very badly. That's... Read Full Review

Connells bullied me into using them after I was perfectly happy with Lex Allan. What a mistake! Connells have been much more expensive and have found me the worst tenant I've ever had. On top of that, they have arranged for a decorator to repaint the apartment very badly. That's another £600 down the drain. The whole experience has been stressful, frustrating and expensive. Avoid them at all costs!

Booked viewing of a property. Evening before received answer phone message to call back when we could. Didn't get message until 15 mins before viewing time so called immediately. Girl didn't know why they'd called so would call back. We started to drive to the property.... Read Full Review

Girl didn't know why they'd called so would call back. We started to drive to the property. No call. Called again to be told it's sold so there's no more viewings! 10 mins before our viewing!!! They then had the audacity to say that our viewing wasn't until 12.30 anyway!! If we had not called back, we'd have been left at the property waiting!

I sold my house very seamlessly which was a pleasant surprise. I was very sceptical of estate agents and they haven proven me wrong. The online system for completing all paperwork was a excellent as I didn't have to have piles of paperwork all over the dining table for the duration of the sale.... Read Full Review

I sold my house very seamlessly which was a pleasant surprise. I was very sceptical of estate agents and they haven proven me wrong. The online system for completing all paperwork was a excellent as I didn't have to have piles of paperwork all over the dining table for the duration of the sale. When I phoned the estate agents to ask questions, they were helpful and also rang me back when they said they would. All in all, I am very happy and the slightly higher fees were definitely worth it as you definitely get what you pay for. Pay cheap prices and get a rubbish service! I would use Connells again.

I would like to recommend Connells in Halesowen to anyone reading this review. I have recently had my property valued by Joanne Tallis. It is refreshing to have an estate agent who is honest and down to earth. She was very approachable and professional. She spent a long time with me offering advice and going through my options. Unlike other agents there was no pressure selling.
I will be putting my property on the market when I have finished the final touches.
She left me with a pack to browse through which is very impressive.
I have recommended her to all of my friends and relatives and would do the same to anyone reading this review

However, nothing could have been further from the truth. I never received feedback, unless I rang at least twice to ask for it. They never called me to review the sales when after 7 months still no offers. When I called them to complain about this, Joanne stated that she would diary me in to call me in 3 weeks as we agreed that reducing the property may help - needless to say that I did not receive that call either. I finally withdrew my house from the market with them after wasting 7 months. I then called to ask about the cost for the EPC completed, to be told that I receive this in due course. About 2 weeks later, I receive a letter from their Debt Recovery branch demanding payment for an invoice that I had not paid so it has been passed to them to recover the debt!!

What agent could do to change your mind?
They should have given me feedback after each viewing. After 10 to 12 weeks they should have made contact to look at the property and assess why the property had not sold and what could be done.
